And as you said, it's basically false advertising. I don't mean that in the sense that Bethesda purposefully mislead us (that's ridiculous), but I mean it's like saying there's a house available in the Reach and then putting it just outside Rorikstead.
They should have sense enough to know that when people hear "the Reach" they think about rocky canyons, just like they should have sense enough to know that when they say "the Pale," people think of miles of snow. They should also have sense enough to know that having a carriage that far north would be THE MOST USEFUL THING EVER.
Then they build it right next to that farm where Cicero's at....
