I just started and im a bit disapointed

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 4:26 am

I always make miself in these adventure type games but it seems I can't possibly make miself because the game has some limits it seems.

1. Theres NO SHORT spiked alike hair, I mean u got like 101019959595 long haircuts and some bald haircuts and then you got 1 haircut with short hair which is not rly upwards, serously why couldn't they make 1 freaking spiked haircut??

2. Is it just me or do all the characters no matter how u make them look like 40+ at least, their faces are all full of wrinkles lol, what happened with being able to choose some age of the character?

How can I even start the game if I can't even make miself , guess il have to wait for some add ons..........................

youll spend most of the game not able to see yourself, but even if that much prevents you from playing the game, just pick a premade build and just forget about the whole thing.

Really? Spiked hair in medieval times?

There might be a Hot Topic in Riften maybe.

I agree, not being able to have two pigtails on my male Nord has just ruined the whole thing for me also.

@mirglof its important for me to "live" the character I just feel more in the game if the character looks like me, i guess il just choose some random class and play for fun a bit till I can download some add ons for hairs, rly tho the age thing kinda pisses me off tho.

@metabog lol srsly? since when is elder scolls a realistic representation of medieval times, so I guess monsters and dragons existed in medieval times?

I totally agree with this

There are people who wanted blue hair and the like as well - Skyrim just doesn't lend itself to spikey blue hair, or just spikey hair in general. I can't think hair gel is that high up their priorities

I want my elf to be a 80s yuppie but there are no walkmans, Delorean cars nor oversized mobile phones anywhere to be seen! Clearly Bethesda hasn't thought of everything a true hardcoe gamer wants. Rubbish!

What about tribal tattoos and some bling blings? Not a single one to choose from. Disgrace!

I play it in a 1st person perspective and I can't even see myself now! Disaster!

An NPC woman was talking to me last night like she knew me. That is clearly not how it would be in real life! Must be a gamebreaking bug.

I will demand my money back ASAP. I'm just gonna explore another cave first...

Do you sit in game just looking at "yourself" or do you actually play it?

I understand that, but asking for a Guido haircut in Skyrim is nonsense.

My advice is: find an haircut you like inside the game, and then cut your hair like that in real life. That way you'll be able to immerse yourself in the game, and you'll prolly improve your IRL looks too!

Even if nobody agrees with the spike hair, the fact that you can't choose your age like in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a bit svcky.

Yeah. I hated it that I couldn't give my orc a pink ponytail.

Wait, what?

Well I just started myself and maybe it's just me, but I f***ing love it! And as for character creation, I like the way they did it. I didn't buy the game to run around like a nacey with spiked hair. Just not on my list of things to do. just saying.

I agree the hair variety has never been a strong point in TES games. If you are on PC, you can hope for a mod with more hairs (and better modeled too).

In the meantime, good luck reading all the funny trollabies talking about how this doesn't "fit" or whatever. They never get it anyway..

You won't even see your hair once you start finding helmets and hoods.

By the end of the game, we'll all look exactly the same - full sets of armor covering just about every inch of our flesh.

I'm glad a company is finally letting the older character shine through. I hate the fact that lots of games lately have the late-teens through early twenties protagonists. I mean, they couldn't do crap if they were actually put in that situation.

I'm 24, and I'm more then happy to be playing someone who looks like thay could actually handle the things thrown at them in the game.
