So, I'm a Khajiit

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 6:32 pm

Its not that they dont care about the races its just the fact that they are too lazy to do it.
Too lazy to care?

I'd like to think they do but unless we get an add-on that fixes a lot of the issues I won't.

I'd like to be able to adopt a Khajiit child. And marry a Khajiit wife. Please.

You guys just reminded me how awkward it's going to be for a Dunmer couple and their adopted Nord daughter...
Can't be any more awkward than it was for the parents of http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Brand-Shei, a Dunmer raised by an Argonian family. Nords have actually helped the Dunmer quite a bit, all things considered, by allowing them to stay as refugees in Skyrim. Argonians, on the other hand, decided the eruption was the perfect opportunity for an invasion.

Anyway, why would the race of your adopted child in a fictional universe matter much at all? I would certainly hope it wouldn't if the situation arose in real life. "Ugh, time to find another orphanage, they only have [race] kids at this one".

Why would it matter? If you hadn't noticed people who play this game take their roleplaying seriously, some probably don't want to roleplay an adoption, they want to pretend it's theirs. :P

Well seeing how small this add-on is I'm hoping that different spouses and children is an automatic....but who knows.

doesnt matter if its argonian, khajitt, dunmer(stinking elves) altmer, bosmer, orc(ugly babies) those should be in BEFORE they go on an add in an adoption feature just seems wierd. at the very least the mer children should be in there makes more sense from a lore standpoint

I could see the realism in omitting kids of some races: Bosmer are rare in Skyrim, Altmer might not want their kids 'corrupted', and Khajiit are unwelcome, except in caravans. Sorry, my Khajiit wants cubs too, but that's how it is.

HOWEVER, Dunmer and Argonians are common as ice in Skyrim. So, there should be kids of those races, especially in Riften and Windhelm. And the orc strongholds should contain little orcs.

They need to update the children models to fit with their race. Like seriously, using the imperial & Breton child model for every child is lazy. How hard is it to create a miniture version of an advlt Khajiit and Argonian, add some elf ears to some of the current models and change their skin tone? You can still do a half assed job, it'll just be an improved half assed job. :D

I'd settle for poorly made beast race children, just make SOME effort.

Me too. I've got characters of many different races, so I'm hoping a mod that assists in building a household and family will give you some options within each species. At least one, ideally two or three?

Also, Non-human children. Would be so win.

The only use I can think of for adopting a kid in this game would be as convenient supply of blood for vamps and meat for werewolves.

I wanted to make a Khajiit thief character who was blind in one eye with a scar running through it. I was so annoyed when I found out that you cannot do this with beast races. Why not B?. I doubt that there will be any children.

Todd Howard doesn't care about Khajiit people.
I highly doubt Todd is even working on this. This is being developed by a small group of people in BGS.
I think you missed the joke, Gheart.
