Knife lunge : Othor Games

Does anyone know if this game is going to have a knife lunge that lets you teleport through bullets and give you an instant kill? Just wondering because I love having it done to me over and over and over again while playing cod games. Or will melee be more like battlefield games?

I'm sure there won't be the CoD style of knifing, SD can actually develop good games.....
And even if there will be, the knife can only be used with the pistol.

Like people have said, kniving will be with pistols only. Kniving doesn't take that long to activate (in the Freedom of Movement preview, the Light pulls out his knife fairly quickly), and it deals more damage than slamming someone with the gun's butt, but you cannot insta-kill someone with either unless your target is incapacitated.

Actually, if I remember right a single knife stab can kill (or rather, incapacitate) a Light guy with no health buffs on. But aside from that meleeing will take two hits, minimum.

I believe only a Light Rifle can accomplish that, and it needs to be buffed by an Engineer first.

EDGE, it just said 3 times that there are going to be knives, but only with pistols. :facepalm:

Actually there may well be a knife lunge but since knives are not auto OHK it won't be too bad. No commando pro move along.

Also, depending on body type, can take 2-4 knife stabs. Don't worry about knife classes OP. ^_^ Slide tackles are another story......

It should be fine since you'll have to go in one direction and move kinda slow. However, if it's used right, you'll be knock someone over and gun them down......

I could see Wraith sliding toward someone, jumping in the air, and as the other person is saying, "Oh crap" he sticks his knife in between their teeth and through their throat. :sweat:
