It better not be a part of the main quest, I'm so [censored] at big caves so a mega cave will destroy me.

Does anyone not look at a word and at least try to guess? Or look in a dictionary? Spelled correctly, Labyrinthian = labyrinth. As in, complex MAZE. *sigh*

I figured it was a maze but was unsure if it was like something from older elder scrolls. I don't remember oblivion having them.

Did'nt Labyrinthian have a really tough "iron Golem" or something like that in it? I never played it but I remember reading about it.Apparently it was very hard to defeat..
If that is true,I hope it is still there,or at least something equally as tough.

Hope so, no labyrinth is complete without at least one minotaur.

What is a labrynthian

It's been answered a few times, by now.

Labyrinthian is a dungeon from the very first Elder Scrolls game, Arena, which included the entire continent of Tamriel, including Skyrim.

Scroll down to the "Atlas" blurb.
Poster map looks great, by the way. Bigger than Cyrodil, it seems.

According to Lore it definitely shouldn't be bigger than Cyrodiil. Not much smaller though, it's about the same size as Cyrodiil minus that small part where Leyawiin was. It does however seem that the world is MUCH more dense in terms of how many places there are to explore and go to.

I think it would be the biggest dungeon in the game, and would probably take hours for us to take a look at every location in there.

But as for that 5 minute speed run, I think that if you have a fully developed high level character, than it might be possible, but not otherwise.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Arena:Labyrinthian. I never played Arena. I started at Daggerfall. I didn't know what it was, either.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?

I've known about the Labyrinthian for yonks bro. started playing with Morrowind. My mate talked about "Man. Daggerfall was a huge game - as large as the UK. And before that, Arena had an absolutely massive dungeon called the Labycan't bebotheredtyping, goodnight"

As a slight trivium, Labyrinthian's exterior was the background for the title screen in Arena. Nice to find out for certain that it's returning!

Sadly the place had a noticeable lack of David Bowie, and probably will here again, but I suppose you can't have everything. :P

I'd like to get this Prima guide - sadly it seems to be utterly non existent in the UK - at least not on Amazon - which is the one place I would expect to be able to find it, if it could be found. One clown has a copy up on ebay for £200 though.

The Labyrinthian may very well be the first true megadungeon found in a post-Daggerfall Elder Scrolls game :)

Ive been to the labyrinthian in game here is what it holds....

Spoiler
There is a shrine in the middle where you have to place 8 dragon priest masks, ive only put 4 in so im not sure what it does.

there is a big door that you need a special item to get in which may be given after the dragon priest masks.

there is a small labyrinth in it as as well. You need various magic to get through it and there is a word wall. not really sure of the reward (word wall can be accessed without going in.) but i did kill a dremora at the end and received an amulet off his body that reduces all schools of magicka's cost. thats all so far.
