Before reading this topic today, I tried this
I uninstalling Nod32, I cleaned the registry with CCleaner...and then i play CRYSIS 2 maybe by an hour, more than 5 maps and runs SMOOTHLY!!. I fired a weapon and no lag.
Before that, i can't even choose an other weapon class to play, or see the menu in the interface...now i can move for all the interface's places without problems.

NO MORE LAG SHOOTING for now. I'm gonna keep testing the game for a few days to make this an a fact.

Get AVAST free antivirus. If you want it including firewall etc get a licensed version, but although I have a license, I've always been happy with the free anit-virus version.

Thanks for the advice anyway, but I heard that AVG causes problems with this game for some people.

So, i decided to install AVIRA and works fine with CRYSIS 2 multiplayer. I tested it for 4 consecutive maps and NO LAG.
PS: I am impressed how smoothly runs the interface and menus now.

I'm between MSE and AVIRA, butI do not know why I chose AVIRA, thx for the advice.
CRYSIS 2 singleplayer it's STUNNING, great experience, visualy, gameplays, sounds, all!. One of the best FPS I've played.
And know, without issues i can play multiplayer, it's amazing too.

Totally Recommend !!
