Lag when shooting...unplayable.

Post » Tue Sep 28, 2010 7:08 am

(First of all sorry my poor english)

Please help. Today i'm playing crysis2 multiplayer by first time and, when i'm shootin, with any weapon, just when i press the mouse botton and the weapon fire sounds, gets lag, like a screenshot, an horrible blink like 5 or 3 frames per second.

I don't know what to do.
My specs

I5 760 2.8@
GTX 460 1gb (780mhz)
8gb ram ddr3 1333mhz
550pw thermaltake xr2
windows 7 64 bits

My crysis2 is from Steam.

...any answer it's welcome. thanks all.

C'mon CRYTEK please resolve my problem....i need really support here, no a topic with "some comun problems". You even haven't a support space like this game deserve in a first time upon realeased. Because i have problems that NO ALL the people have and that's left me in a corner without solutions...no like the patch that you are making to resolve others issues. I got a uniqe problem and : HOW CAN I RESOLVE IT? ...any garanty?.

Please help. I know that you probably are working hard in this and don't have the time to resolve a lil problem like this (main), but That it's something that should have been foreseen. I just wanna play, that's it.

If somebody have a problem like this. Please comment here even if don't have a answer. Just in case to have things in comun, maybe we can resolve it us.

Greetings and respects CRYTEK. i'm just gonna wait with faith. Things like this happen. Bye

hi m8

1. Is your windows up to date ? and all drivers

2. If you have still problem run a direct x test : To start the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, click Start, click Run, type dxdiag in the Open box, and then click OK

3. If you are using steam :Right click game icon crysis, go to properties, go to local files, go to Verify Integrity Of Game Cache.

4. Maybe Crytek Working on a patch patient

Post here again let us know

I hope its helps you

Good Luck

Hey dude i know this sounds obscure but do you have a wireless or wired mouse?
For some reason when i play online my wirless mouse give me lag no idea why, but using a wired mouse works perfectly.
If you have a wireless mouse give a wired one a try! its worth a shot

Possibly you need to update your sound-drivers. This sounds like a typical Realtek driver issue to me. Lag when shooting. Black Ops had the same problem at the beginning. Wonder were that comes from though, coz it's typically only in multiplayer.

Wow, that sounds highly possible because also heard that before. And yeah!!, i have realtek sound just like you say. Well, i have just to wait for a realtek drive updates or maybe the new crysis2 patch fix it. Until this, i just gotta wait and play singleplayer.

thx for this answer, if you find a way to fix the issue like happens with black ops, plz comment here.

For some people, like myself, it already helped to simply uninstall the realtek drivers completely, do the system reboot, reinstall the current ones and reboot again. Others were not as lucky, but some reported that installing a slightly older driver worked.
If you have Windows 7 or Vista, you might even wanna try to just uninstall and after the reboot let windows use it's generic drivers to see if that changes anything. Just a thought and might help figure out if it truly is the sound-driver issue. Not making promises though. Just suggestions. ;)

Well, i unistalled the sound drivers, and lets microsoft install the others. Then i played crysis and nothing. the same problem again. Then i install the new realtek updated drivers from the main page of my motherboard. I Tested multiplayer and nothing. the same again...so, maybe i did something wrong, but still doesn't work fine.
If somebody do that stuff and make it work, plz comment how you do it. thx for all the answers. just keep looking for a solution.

Too bad, had hoped the problem was related to the Black Ops sound stutter issue. Sorry it didn't help.

Hey,

Another option is maybe your onboard sound device conflict the game go to your bios setup search for : High Definition Audio Device

And disable it save and exit it and run crysis 2 again

If that not helps try : windows / props /sound / choos 16 bit cd quality

And you have this problem only on muliplayer this lag ? sounds more a connection issues

Maybe Crytek is working next patch to fix it

Same problem for me, lag when shooting only in multiplayer and only after 2 o 3 matches.
In the demo this didn't happen.

Pc specs:
Q9450 @3,2 ghz
GTX 460 AMP! (overclocked)
Vista 64 bit

I don't have realtek audio.

Ok, i disable the HD audio options in BIOS setup, then no audio in windows, even that i played but still in the second map comes the problem again.

Then i put the sound, all of them digital hd and generic audio from windows, in 16 bits cd quality...but the same results

Summary to date about realtek with no results:

- disable realtek device.
- put all in 16bits.
- updating realtek drivers (03/2011).
- uninstalling realtek driver and lets windows put their own drivers.
- ...i don't know why (lol), but i try to put a mic into the mic hole in my motherboard but nothing happen to...

so...that's all the events to date.
and yes, i got this problem only in multiplayer. but the black ops problem was in multiplayer too, so maybe isn't a conection problem. maybe the gtx 460...i don't know.

Thanks for all, i keep looking.
Any idea is welcome, just write a comment here and i'm gonna do it. thx again

Hello,

What you can do is a ping test
status of your ms example :

Test a TCP/IP configuration by using the ping command

Updated: January 21, 2005

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To test a TCP/IP configuration by using the ping command

1. To quickly obtain the TCP/IP configuration of a computer, open Command Prompt, and then type ipconfig. From the display of the ipconfig command, ensure that the network adapter for the TCP/IP configuration you are testing is not in a Media disconnected state. For more information, see Notes.

2. At the command prompt, ping the loopback address by typing ping 127.0.0.1.

3. Ping the IP address of the computer.

4. Ping the IP address of the default gateway.

If the ping command fails, verify that the default gateway IP address is correct and that the gateway (router) is operational.

5. Ping the IP address of a remote host (a host that is on a different subnet).

If the ping command fails, verify that the remote host IP address is correct, that the remote host is operational, and that all of the gateways (routers) between this computer and the remote host are operational.

6. Ping the IP address of the DNS server.

If the ping command fails, verify that the DNS server IP address is correct, that the DNS server is operational, and that all of the gateways (routers) between this computer and the DNS server are operational.

Notes
To open a command prompt, click Start, point to All programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command prompt.

The ipconfig command is the command-line equivalent to the winipcfg command, which is available in Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, and Windows Millennium Edition. Computers running Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 operating systems do not include a graphical equivalent of the winipcfg command, however, you can get equivalent functionality for viewing and renewing an IP address by opening Network Connections, right-clicking a network connection, clicking Status, and then clicking the Support tab.

If the ipconfig command displays Media disconnected, the network cable is not plugged in to the network adapter.

If the ping command is not found or the command fails, you can use Event Viewer to check the system log and look for problems reported by Setup or the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) service.

The ping command uses Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) Echo Request and Echo Reply messages. Packet filtering policies on routers, firewalls, or other types of security gateways might prevent the forwarding of this traffic

you can send ticket to Ea or Crytek support they can help you further

Good luck
