I can understand those reactions since those people paid 60 bucks for a game that's unplayable for them (at the moment). I originally bought the PS3 version but got so frustrated that I got myself the PC-Version, which works flawlessly. It almost feels like a different game. So I know from personal experience that there is definietely something wrong with the PS3 version. I don't know why but I hope Bethesda will fix this so PS3 players can enjoy this awesome game.

did mark41 seriously say the children are eye candy?

Bethesda announces that a patch for all platforms is coming out early next week.(
Posted on November 27, 2011)....(http://myona.com/2011/11/27/bethesda-announces-patch-platforms-coming-early-week/)

Much to Joseph’s dismay, the 1.2 patch for Skyrim will be coming out in the first half of next week, with Pete Hines saying that the PS3 issues of savefiles keeping track of too many elements will be resolved. It’s likely this also includes the texture issues on the XBox360 and some of the more glaring PC problems that have been cropping up and being screamed about on forums across the internet.

The only estimate on the patch’s release was within a week of Thanksgiving, and now it is a bit more concrete. The full list of what this patch will fix has not been released, but the most commonly-reported ones are likely to be at the top of the list.

Hines promised that he would provide a full list of the fixes once the patch has been property certed and no other changes are planned whatsoever. I’ll have the full patch details here once they have come out which is probably going to be at the end of the month.

If a am not wrong the patch will be live this week...Why you people can't wait....I asking that myself for days now..... :brokencomputer:
The only problem is that there has been no real confirmation that this will solve the issue. Also fallout had this same issue and they never even bothered to fix it.
If it was a problem that was easy to fix with a patch, then i would have thought they would have released a patch for fallout as well.

The only thing we know is that this patch is supposed to improve performance which could mean pretty much anything.

What you mean with: suppose to improve....it will improve....or not....
You will say that BETHESDA doesn't want...or maybe they can't improve the performance......

Bethesda’s VP of Marketing Pete Hines has just posted the news on his twitter account...bla ...bal...bla...as follow...

The patch will be primarily aimed at fixing the broken textures bug on the 360 and the poor framerate that some PS3 players have been encountering. It will also clean up some of the less serious issues that are a given in a gameworld as big and complex as Skyrim’s.

I think you are capable to read....and you can read English i suppose....

What exactly do you not understand......from the above phrase in red color..????????

It says primarily and it says fixing.........if you have still doubts...sorry i can't help you.... :banghead:

as for the fallout thing..:the patches are as follow....

Players report Skyrim PlayStation 3 patch out now
(Published 28 November, 2011 - http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-11-28-players-report-skyrim-playstation-3-patch-out-now)

Skyrim players have reported that the promised patch for the PlayStation 3 version of the epic fantasy game is out now, bringing the game up to version 2.01.

Users on the Bethesda forum say the patch is 92MB and is live in some parts of Europe, including the UK.

An update is due for all three versions of the game. Last week Bethesda said the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 updates were in certification with Sony and Microsoft.

Bethesda PR boss Pete Hines said the patch will improve performance for "long-term play on PS3". This relates to a bug currently making the PS3 version unplayable for some. The bug occurs when save files exceed a certain size. After that point, the PS3 version suffers from lag and, according to some players, eventually becomes unplayable.

Impressions of the new patch are rolling in. "yeah it fixed it!!!" said user "kenTucky". "but they seem to have minimized the texture details..anyway it's not that bad though...I hope this runs this smooth after hours of gameplay.."

Skyrim on Xbox 360 suffers from a curious texture problem that sees performance drop when the game is installed to the hard drive.

The issue only seems to occur if you have the Xbox 360 version of Skyrim installed to the hard drive - a process that is entirely optional. In this case, the highest resolution versions of the textures appear to stall and not load, meaning you're not seeing the game at its best. If you remove the install, and run the game directly from the DVD, the best quality artwork returns to the game.

Skyrim PS3 patch released, reportedly fixes lag
European users seem pleased with RPG update
(Posted on Monday 28-Nov-2011 10:35 AM - http://www.computerandvideogames.com/327584/skyrim-ps3-patch-released-reportedly-fixes-lag/)

There's no official word or patch notes we can find, but players are reporting that Bethesda has released an update for the PS3 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which fixes the
game-ruining lag many have encountered.

The problem, which only appears to have affected the PS3 version of the game, rears its ugly head once players have racked up a large amount of hours with the game and built up big save files.

But speaking on Bethesda's forums, European users say patch 2.01 (a 92MB download) greatly alleviates the lag.

One user with a 13MB save file said he encountered a couple of brief freezes post update, but that he was very happy with the improvements.

I can 100% assure you that my lag is a problem. It now lags all the time - obviously to differing degrees.

Most of the time it's not a major issue. However, I fought a Dragon last night where literally every time it went over head and breathed fire the game was lagging to such an extent that I literally couldn't follow the path of the dragon.

It's becoming unplayable. I've even ordered a SSD to try and fix it. Really looking forward to installing the patch, hopefully it will help

Skyrim PlayStation 3 Patch Now Available, Fixes Lag and Freeze Issues

Bethesda has seemingly released a new patch for the PlayStation 3 edition of Skyrim, which fixes the lag and freeze issues that plagued the platform since the title’s release.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim impressed legions of gamers across all platforms but, like with most Bethesda titles, issues popped up, from hilarious glitches on the PC, to low resolution textures on the Xbox 360 or a save game freeze issue on the PlayStation 3.

Now, it seems that the first actual patch for Skyrim has appeared, only for the PlayStation 3, at least, as many users from Bethesda’s forums are reporting that they were able to download the update, which occupies 92MB, and, after applying it, the freezes and lag stopped almost completely.

As some of you might remember, we reported on a serious glitch that, once their save game files reached a certain size, caused constant lag and freezes for PS3 owners .

There’s no official word about this patch, so expect a statement from Bethesda soon.

LUCKY US !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :celebration:

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - 360/PS3/PC
(http://www.gamezone.com/news/skyrim-update-1-2-patch-notes-detailed)

Publisher: Bethesda Softworks
Developer: Bethesda Game Studios
Genres: Action-Adventure, Role-playing
Release Date: N Amer - 11/11/11
Platforms:PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

Over the last few weeks, Bethesda has referred to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim patch as update 1.2. Until today, everything we heard was Skyrim patch 1.2. In fact, even Bethesda's VP of Marketing and PR Pete Hines referred to it as "1.2 update for Skyrim".

So when today's patch went live on PlayStation 3 you can imagine the confusion when PlayStation 3 users saw update 2.01 on their console.
How could they make the jump from 1.1 to 2.01? Fear not, the answer is simple.

"Different platforms may see different version numbers," Hines explained to a confused fan.

In other words, update 1.2 and 2.01 are the exact same. As long as you have one of them, you have the proper update. As for what version the Xbox 360 and PC will see, we'll have to wait until Wednesday, November 30th to find out - as that is the estimated release date for those platforms.

As for what Update 1.2 contains, Bethesda's notes are the following:

Improved occasional performance issues resulting from long term play (PlayStation 3)

Fixed issue where textures would not properly upgrade when installed to drive (Xbox 360)

Fixed crash on startup when audio is set to sample rate other than 44100Hz (PC)

Fixed issue where projectiles did not properly fade away

Fixed occasional issue where a guest would arrive to the player's wedding dead

Dragon corpses now clean up properly

Fixed rare issue where dragons would not attack

Fixed rare NPC sleeping animation bug

Fixed rare issue with dead corpses being cleared up prematurely

Skeleton Key will now work properly if player has no lockpicks in their inventory

Fixed rare issue with renaming enchanted weapons and armor

Fixed rare issue with dragons not properly giving souls after death

ESC button can now be used to exit menus (PC)

Fixed occasional mouse sensitivity issues (PC)

General functionality fixes related to remapping buttons and controls (PC)

Many PS3 users were sufferent from horrendous lag issues due to extremely large save file sizes. Hopefully all is fixed now.

PS3 Skyrim stutter fixes coming after update 1.3
(http://www.videogamer.com/ps3/the_elder_scrolls_v_skyrim/news/ps3_skyrim_stutter_fixes_coming_after_update_1_3.html)

Bethesda is reaching out to a number of users to collect game saves.

Bethesda has revealed that it is looking into how to fix the stutter problems plaguing the PlayStation 3 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but has said that fixes won't be coming until after the imminent 1.3 update.

"While the 1.2 update fixed the long-term play issues for most PS3 users, we are aware that is not the case for some. We've been reaching out to a number of those users to collect save games, so we can take a look at their specific issues," reads a statement on the Bethesda blog. "Right now we know it's not one thing, but a combination of smaller ones that some folks are seeing, but others are not. Some seem to be the PS3 autosaving in the background (you can turn that off), some may be SPU AI updates, and some may relate to dynamic system memory allocation."

"These fixes are not in the current 1.3 update that is in final testing, but will be in future ones. We understand how frustrating it can be when your game is having issues, and we thank all of you for your continued feedback and patience. Rest assured we take your gameplay experience seriously and will continue working on this until it's resolved."

The Elder Scrolls 5 – Skyrim: 1.3 Patch The Low Down
(http://www.gamebandits.com/news/pc/the-elder-scrolls-5-skyrim-1-3-patch-the-low-down-25368/)

Last, week The Elder Scrolls 5 – Skyrim 1.2 update was released. It solved some issues but also created new ones. Now, Bethesda has released a new patch for its glitch-ridden game. Will this new patch do what it has promised to do, which is to let dragons fly head first and to put into effect magic resistance one again?

Skyrim 1.2 has caused dragons to fly backwards. Not every player has witnessed this but some have actually captured at least one dragon on film. Lord Wadsworth of YouTube is one such example of a lucky adventurer. The 1.2 patch has also managed to remove all magic resistance from Skyrim.

You will lose all your magic resistance, including built-in ones.

Those with resistance to frost will have a harder time fighting Frost Dragons.

Magic immunity is also gone because of the messed-up patch.

Summoning a Fire Atronach with a fireball-shooting witch is rendered useless.

So, Skyrim 1.3 plans to fix 1.2’s mess. It does well by making the formerly backwards flying dragon fly straight. Even the magic resistance has been apparently restored. So, you can easily summon a Storm Atronach or to fight off Frost Dragons. You can now resist magic again. Along with this realization is the fact that patch 1.3 really seems safe to download.

Skyrim patch 1.3 is really useful in the sense that it fixes up the errors left behind by 1.2. However, it is not able to provide fixes across the board that you may expect. Now, you can at least get rid of the more recent bugs to enjoy the wonderful world of Skyrim.

LETS HOPE IT WILL WORK ON THE CONSOLES AS WELL....

11 MB file size and about 80 hours in here. Auto saves are off.

My game runs fine for the most part, but after about 2-3 hours of play, the stuttering starts. Luckily, I have only frozen a handful of times. Don't get me wrong, these issues shouldn't be happening at all in my opinion.

Remember 1.3 will not be fixing the framerate issues, thats for 1.4 unless 1.4 breaks more stuff and we go round the houses again heheh.

Keep a sense of humour, it's something that Beth can't break with a patch.

Xbox 360, PS3 Users Still Await Skyrim Patch 1.3
(http://www.gamezone.com/news/xbox-360-ps3-users-still-await-skyrim-patch-1-3)

It has been exactly one week since Skyrim patch 1.3 became available for PC users.
It's been slightly over one week since Bethesda promised Xbox 360 and PS3 users that the patch would arrive shortly on the console versions.

Well, it has been exactly one week and still have no received any patch. Dragons still fly backwards, magic resistance is still broken, and Bethesda's VP of Marketing and PR Pete Hines still confirms that the patch has been submitted to both Sony and Microsoft.

When asked by a fan, Hines confirmed, "Update 1.3 is already submitted to both Sony and MS."

So I guess there is nothing left to do, but wait.

The long wait could be attributed to the recent Xbox dashboard update, but if you are a PS3 user and possibly hoping the extended wait might mean the lag will get fixed, I wouldn't count on it. Usually, when a patch is a submitted, no additional changes are made, until the next patch. And seeing as how Bethesda has already stated that update 1.3 won't address the lag, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

"Right now we know it’s not one thing, but a combination of smaller ones that some folks are seeing, but others are not. Some seem to be the PS3 autosaving in the background (you can turn that off), some may be SPU AI updates, and some may relate to dynamic system memory allocation," explained Bethesda.

Bethesda has said they plan on releasing "regular updates for the game through full title updates, as well as "incremental gameplay updates" to fix whatever issues come up along with rebalancing portions of the game for difficulty or exploits."

So as of right now, nothing has really changed. The Skyrim 1.3 patch is still waiting for approval from Sony and Microsoft.
