ACTUALLY ... Card games are pretty damn expensive. Believe me, I know. I had tournament-playing friends that did MTG and That Y Game.
I should do a thread for those, LOL.
What happens if you don't pay for Live? Or buy fewer than 8 games per year? I bought one game this year. Granted I don't play on consoles.
What happens if the PC users want to upgrade? You know a lot of them do, there's always that temptation. What happens if something goes wrong in the PC? I'd wager Xbox 360 warranties are easier to deal with. Especially if you build your own PC.
And what about console exclusive games?
Most of those exclusives are pretty poor quality. There are some I wish wouldn't be (MGS4, Demon's / Dark Souls, other) but overall it's not enough. The first Halo was the best one.
And if you don't pay for LIVE, you can't play any multiplayer games. So if someone doesn't want to play anything online they can subtract it.
And someone's forgetting that the Xbox 360 has a hardware failure rate close to 50%. I imagine their warranty process was less than fun to deal with during peak RROD time.
Unnecessary upgrades are a luxury so they're not included. I'd also have to include hard drive upgrades / wireless add-on, expensive third party controllers, etc for 360. It would be a nightmare.
A lot of things can cause the prices to not equal out or separate farther. But a lot of the time they're even or pretty close.
