[WIP] Levelers Tower

Leveler's Tower

by WillieSea

Continuing my tradition of making 'Levelers' mods for the Beth games*, I am making one for Skyrim. It can be used for various reasons:
1. Quickly recreate a lost character due to hard drive failure or save game corruption
2. Quickly create characters for testing your mods, where you can quickly make them any level.
3. Cheat, have fun, just messing around.

* - Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout3, Fallout NV

The tower is situated to the right as you exit the Helgin dungeon at the start of the game. In fact, Alduin flys right over it.

What I have created so far is the exterior tower:

Tower Exterior Before/After: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?app=gallery&module=images&img=18877

The inside tower and basemant.

The tower top has:
1. A door out to the balcony outside
2. Soul gem summoner (random what you get)
3. Teleport pad for returning to the towers via a 'spell'.
4. A map with flags on it that will teleport you to that location on the map.
5. Signed storage chests for armor and weapons. (WIP: Will be making this an 'automatic' process later and adding other items)
6. Retextured tapestries.
7. Bookcase storage, 2 of them.

Tower Top Beginning: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?app=gallery&module=images&img=18666

The tower basemant has:
1. A lot of weapon plaques, weapon racks and a few mannequins.
2. Anvil, sharpening stone, forge, cooking spit, enchanting station, alchemy station, tanning rack, workbench
3. Whirlpool (WIP: will heal and cure you of diseases)
4. Custom spell tomes that are static, so you can add or remove the spell it contains.
5. Flames spell - High damage flames
6. Frostbite spell - High damage frostbite
7. Sparks spell - High damage sparks
8. Home spell - Teleport to either go home, return from wence you came, or go to one of the major cities.
9. Nighteye spell - same nighteye effect but in spell form (WIP: I plan on changing the effects of this so its not so blurry)
10. Bookcase storage, 4 of them.
11. Training dummy that you gain experience from
12. Statues of Nocturnal, Dibella, Talos and Mara for their blessings.
13. The most useful buttons that will improve your health, stamina and magicka by 25 points a click. (done)
14. A button for each skill that will raise it one level per click. (done)

Autosorting Ingredient Storage: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?app=gallery&module=images&img=18878

15. Summonable horse, cast spell once to summon, cast again to banish. Speed is 130% of normal with very high health and stamina.
With the new Nifskope version, I was able to fix the eye glow.
Night Mare: http://tesalliance.org/forums/uploads/1332368598/gallery_85_19_189974.jpg

16. Working Clock that shows current game time, no matter what timescale you use
First Clock: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?app=gallery&module=images&img=19028
Clock set: http://tesalliance.org/forums/uploads/1330327325/gallery_85_19_8889.jpg

17. Throne Room: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?app=gallery&module=images&img=18879

18. Sleeping Quarters: http://tesalliance.org/forums/uploads/1330630668/gallery_85_19_51199.jpg

Future improvements?
This is where you can suggest things that you think might go with this mod. I may or may not implement, depending on if I feel it fits my vision of the mod.

Request: If you can convert oblivion clock parts into skyrim meshes, could you please help? Here are the clock parts if you can: http://www.sendspace.com/file/66j1e9

I will update this post often with my progress.

WOOT!!!!!!!!! WillieSea, so terribly happy to see you doing this. I STILL have Ancient towers from OB in my game.

I KNOW this will be awesome. Thanks for modding for Skyrim, I was wondering if you were going to.

Ancient Towers is one of the mods I use frequently for Oblivion. Can't wait to see what you do with this. Looks great.

Thank you all! I am glad to see a lot of old avatars that know of my work in Oblivion.

Here is an image of a few things in the basemant:
http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?app=gallery&module=images&img=18679

The skill buttons (bottom left image) are retextured with a wood burl which I think looks pretty good.
I have also retextured the dibella statue with a white/blue granite and another one with gold.

Each spell book will use the HD texture and have the spell name on it. I currently have room for 2 more spells and could make more rooom if needed.

REQUEST: Anyone know how to convert the Oblivion 'clock hand' NIF files into Skyrim format? I will upload the meshes soon for anyone who would like to do this for me.

I was trying to add buttons that would increase and decrease your level, but apparently that functionalty has been lost in the CK.

I finished up all the skills buttons and they work perfectly.

I also converted the special spell tomes to static activators. Now the book remains on the pedestal. You click it once to add the spell, and again to remove the spell. I feel this gives you more control over the spells you have in your list. (I did not do anything to the vanilla spell tomes)

Currently I am looking into a button to cleanse you of all your crimes. Its not working the way I expect though.

I think thats all I have been up to since yesterday.

Looks and sounds very good, WillieSea, although considering the author that's hardly a surprise :P

Thanks Cipscis! That is high praise from you

And what I have been up to:
The crime cleansing button seems to work fine. I added all the crime factions along with the normal and violent crime variables. So it 'should' clear all your crimes.

I am looking to add a summonable horse, but its not working yet. I did add the spell tome that will allow you to have or remove the spell.

I also changed the 'teleport home' spell so you can pick if you want to go home or return from where you came. Before, it depended on if you had gone home, it would only show the 'return' option, and vise versa.

Thanks! I am liking it too.

I have been trying to retexture Shadowmere into my own horse. Her name is Night. (as in Night Mare)

I am sure I changed all the vertex colors in the NIF, but there is still a bit of red around the eyes...

Another shot of Night with Sheanna, sporting the retextured Dragonscale armor.

Oh wow! The new functionality with form lists and RemoveItem will make creating the auto-sort containers much easier.

I will have the weapons and armor auto-sorting scripts done today!

Then I can look into auto-sorters for foods, ingredients, misc items, etc...

I am starting the auto-sorters for the ingredients. One container for each ingredient.
http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?app=gallery&module=images&img=18845

The auto-sorters for the weapons and armor are done. I have not added the enchanted weapons to the auto-sorter yet, but it will be easy since I just drag them to the form list to add them.

I also played around with the horse texture some more so she is not quiet so dark.

And I added a whole new section to the basemant. I was thinking about putting some of the doom stones in there.

Its taken me all day to make 91 textures and attach them to the containers. It will not be a big process to write the script lines for each of the 91 ingredients.

So, thats about all I have done today.

When you view the pics, you can click the 'magnifying glass' icon above the pic to see it full size.

It's ridiculous how happy that group of ingredient auto-sorters makes me. Having all of my ingredients dumped together into one barrel has been killing my OCD! The basemant looks fantastic too.

I am glad you both like the auto-sorter, it took some time to setup but with my own bouts of OCD, well worth it in the long run.

I decided to actually have some fun, and created two explosions, and attached them to my arrow projectile and then some arrows.
Explosive and Electrical. They are a hoot to play with so they will probably stay in the mod.

I was trying to find a way to alter the 'timeScale' setting but have not found a way to script it yet.

I am also adding some specialized teleport maps, like one for the dragon burial sites and doomstones.

This is going to be every bit as awesome as Ancient Towers. I didn't use that for actual leveling up either.

Thanks! :)

I decided to start making the arena, or battle chamber.
Its an open arena with seating. You will be able to summon various creatures into the arena to fight. Or you could watch a fight with several animals.
When its a little more finished I will post some pictures of it.
