Lion and the Dragon and the Eagle in the background - What i

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 10:34 pm

As you can see in the background here, we have a circle with a Lion and a Dragon and a Eagle that goes after each other.
What do you think that is about?

The three factions, it's pretty obvious.

I think that the dragon represents the Empire, don't know about the other two.

I can safely say that the dragon represents the Empire, don't know about the other two.
Very exciting. But yeah, dragon looks to be representing the Empire but this leaves me so curious about the other two.

Factions. I assume Dragon is empire (although it may be that they are Akaviri, second era and all that) with the bird being, I guess, an elven faction as birds and skies have long been mainstays of elven symbology in the series.

Ironic... It's "obvious", but you can only identify one of them :confused:. (btw no offense)... I think it's a symbol of characters of different play styles etc. interacting with one another... but who the hell knows?

The eagle might have something to do with the elves, the elf armor and weapons in skyrim has features of an eagle. That's the only thing that makes me thing the eagle has something to do with the elves.
The lion.....well i don't know...something with the beast race maybe?

Np.
I say it's the factions because this looks like the logo for a game, which mostly represents something related to the main story.
And as there are three factions, it looks like it could be it.

I can't identify the other two factions, as the empire is the only faction in TEs with a fleshed out symbolism (correct me if I'm wrong).

Well they've stated that the three factions are effectively at war with one another, largely over Cyrodil. Dragon will very likely be Empire, the eagle should be the high elves, and the lion? Maybe the beast races fighting for freedom from slavery?

It's obvious, because they said before that there are going to be three factions, each with an animal for a symbol: dragon, lion and eagle. So we see three animal heads and we know - this logo shows three previously announced factions fighting against each other, struggling for control over the world (or something).

But the names of the factions, that's an entirely different story. We simply do not know, we can only speculate. So I say dragon is the Empire.

Saying that it's "obviously definitely" something at all when you in fact have absolutely no clue what it is, is a little silly don't you think? :P

Sure, it could be factions. But you truly have no clue.

Maybe Lion is Empire, Dragon is Akaviri and Eagle is Elves? As far as I know, there are supposed to be lions in Cyrodiil... Though, Empire as Dragon does make more sense, I guess...

Well if you read the game informer article, they actually do state that there are three warring factions, which is a pretty significant clue, dontcha think?

Since when are clues fact? You can make an educated guess, but to say "it's obviously factions." is a bit preemptive.

The three factions is the most obvious answer I can think of.

Good one.

Hm, maybe Eagle represents all elves and the Dragon represents all the humans and last but not least, maybe the Lion represents the Khajiit and Argonians?
Damn, I have no idea to be honest, haha.

3 Continents in one game? And Aldmeris probably actually never existed anyway.
Me say:
Dragon=Avikiri Potentates - The Empire
Lion=Lleswyr
Eagle=Aldmeri dominion, possibly Valenwood.

What about the Humans then? They'll need a faction too, so I guess that's the Lion. Elseweyr were never really big anyway.
