I've done nothing all day. Got up around 1:30 watched some hockey, then went on Netflix and started watching The Killing. I'll be going out for a friends birthday around 9:30, so I'm going to miss the premiere of the second season of Game of Thrones.

The problem is, it WAS NOT funny. If it was even the least bit humerous it might have been different. It was STUPID.

Why even bother with April Fools day? I have yet to see one thing today that was even remotely funny, here or in my local newspaper or the "Google Prank" or anything.

April Fools has gone from being at least somewhat funny to down right stupid.

I'm just glad it's only once a year.

Why even bother with April Fools day?

There are several people who really didn't like it, and some others who had a laugh and then were annoyed because they couldn't easily browse the forum - but most people seemed to have really enjoyed it and we had fun with it, and that's why we "bother with April Fools day." It is only one day a year, and we restrict our prank(s) to Community Discussion - all of the game sections are left untouched.

Some people have a holiday or celebration they really don't like, and in that case I'd suggest avoiding the annoyance rather than barging in to complain about it. I personally can't stand graduation ceremonies, and thus I've attended none of my own.

You should have changed the background to the board to Discord's dance and the various ponies. That'd would've been a lot funnier and easier for you guys to revert back. Not to mention the other sections could experience the fun then. Felt kinda off with it only affecting the CD

Edit: unless you guys don't have the admins help you with the pranks, in which case I guess that wouldn't be possible.

It's not a day about comedic genius, it's a day about a few little quirky pranks worth a smile and adding some fun to your day. If you have to even think about complaining about them when they haven't hurt you, then, well, as the saying goes, misery loves company, so you must just be a miserable person.

Good to see that the mods are willing to have a bit of fun on a forum that is otherwise restrained and frankly kinda boring at times. Good to see that some people still have a sense of humor and enjoy the chaos. I feel for the mods however that will have to change all of those thread titles back, probably going to be quite a hassle I imagine.

We will be letting the threads slid off the front page or reach our 200 post limit unless the OP requests the title be changed. Shouldn't be too difficult.

I am almost as awesome knowing "My Little Pony" as I am at googling.

The fact that both of my two primary forums have been ponified for today is what pissed in my cereal, though technically they pissed on my late night snack last night, and then gamesas pooped on my lunch today >< I'm tired of ponies being shoved down my throat today. We get it, advlts like brightly colored ponies that are meant for little girls, congratulations, I'm happy you find something you like, but when it gets shoved down your throat, even if it's only for a day, it's annoying, and when it actively hinders ones ability to use their aforementioned regular forums, it's even more annoying.

Mama said there'd be days like that, there'd be days like this my Mama said....if it won't matter in 10 years it probably doesn't matter much today. Roll with it.

LOL. Yeah, I was in complete shock. I ran from GITP to here, thinking "It's ok, I have CD, I'll be safe there", only to find MLP everywhere. Open-Mouth Slack-jawed expression of disbelief. I then went and loaded up Skyrim, pretended everyone in Whiterun was a pony lover, and annihilated everyone. Unfortunately it would appear as though Princess Celestia was protecting a good many of them, lots of unkillables that ganged up on me, and I was forced to flee.

Is the straight jacket nice and comfy? :laugh:

Yep.

We had the admin's help the year before last, when we were all demodded and had alts modded to replace us. But it's a lot easier to mod a few accounts than make changes to the forum look, and at the moment the admin are pretty busy.

I have been following these forums since Morrowind was announced. Please don't try and tell me how long I've been here.

As far as the critisizm of my displeasure with April Fools day, everyone has their opinion and I have mine. Changing every topic to something stupid isn't what I consider humor.

If you really wanted a "Practical Joke" everyones title should have been renamed "Moderator".
