@Miller: Bitter-much? :tongue: (about Carter-Richards)

 I'm just glad those two heartless party animals are L.A.'s problem now.

So who else thinks Dustin Brown wants to stay in LA? I think he made it pretty clear last night.

I hope he does. He's awesome to play with in NHL '12 with 99 (or close to it) Checking power :P

Hey, if they score like beasts, they can drink all they want.

Slow trade day, but with the current CBA about to end, I can kind of understand why some GM's might be hesitant about big trades.

I'm glad the Kings held onto Brown, but mixed feeling about Bernier. It's nice to have 2 good young goalies but they could've gotten some pretty good return for him. Maybe somewhat of a replacement for Johnson, like Schenn from Toronto.

Yea, certainly a slow day, but I'm just glad that Nash didn't move to a contender. The Bruins picked up Rolston again- I remember him from about 10 years ago being a pretty decent goal-scorer. Sorry to see Kampfer go though. That kid had brief flashes that reminded me of #77.

Yeah, all of the B's deals were kinda meh, but I guess Greg Zanon is the best trade they made. Rolston's been pretty meh this year, as for the other guy who's name escapes me right now I'm not too sure, and Zanon is a heavy hitting defenseman who somewhat reminds me of Boychuk. Speaking of Boychuk, at the press confrence today Chiarelli announced that he has a minor concussion :/.

First time in 23 years the Penguins didn't make a deal at the trade deadline. I'm not surprised, and I'm not disappointed.

 Great. Who knows what that could mean now? I think one huge key for the Bruins winning last year was their avoiding injuries; this year we haven't been so lucky, and I think that could cost them dearly.

Goodbye Hodgson. :(

Havn't seen much of Kassian but I keep thinking this was for the best. Hodgson can be on a 1st or 2nd line and be great offence and have way more ice time and Kassian can bring some enforcing and toughness.

I have no doubt Hodgson will be an All Star Player the coming years.

Well now the B's have 8 defenseman (including Boychuk) in the NHL, so it'll be interesting to see who gets scratched.

The deadline day offered nothing too big. Brown, Nash and guys remained in their teams. Some of the biggest names on the move were Brian Rolston, Andrei Kostiksyn, Johnny Oduya, Samuel P?hlsson, Paul Gaustad and Zack Kassian for Cody Hodgson... At least the Bruins get another good blueline / point shot in Rolston for powerplay, and brothers Kostiksyn are once again reunited. :) I don't think many other trades dealt with top six forwards, and not a single big time D-man or goalie was moved on the deadline day.

The Bruins got shut out by Ottawa tonight. Could the offense have looked any more pathetic? It shoulda been 2-0 or even 3-0 but Thomas played well, he just got no support. This Bruins team needs Horton and Peverley back.

The Capitals game last night was great. Poor Islanders.

Scored with 20 seconds left in the 3rd to tie it up, and Ovechkin with the OT snipe.

Just when I think the Capitals are down and out, they do something to prove me wrong.

Miller the killer and me are also happy that Philly still didn't manage to take two consecutive victories. <_<

Bruins beat the Devils in overtime tonight. Coach Julien shifted the lines around a pit, and put Krejci, who had been slumping greatly, between Lucic and Seguin. Seguin scored and Krejci got a hat-trick, including the OT game winner. He looks like a genius for that move. It's good to get to see the offense get going a little bit again, after being shut out something like 4 or 5 times in their past 2 dozen games or so. Thomas looked pretty good again, except for letting in one stinker of a goal.

NYR looks unstoppable.

Wow, I thought the Canucks/Blues game was gonna be a high scorer.

I'm liking Kassian more and more. Just need to score some goals now.

Should be Corvo. He's a turnover machine, and probably the weakest defensively. When Boychuck (and Ference, now) get back, I wouldn't mind Corvo sitting until he realizes that he can't just pass the puck to the other team, and get beat defensively time after-time. I'm really liking the Zanon pickup, too.

And the Leafs fire Ron Wilson. Finally. He should've been gone after they crashed and burned in December.

Burke should be next. 4 years ago he promised change and a playoff birth while refusing to completely start over in a rebuild phase. When they miss the playoffs again, I think he should be gone IMO. But with the hiring of Carlyle, I don't see that happening since those two worked together in Anaheim in 2007.

Might be too late for the Leafs...I really would like to see both Jets and Leafs in the playoffs. How that will pan out, who knows. There are less than 20 games left in the regular season for all teams, it's now or never.

I saw this. Pretty hilarious.

Yea, what a mess in Toronto. They're in the weakest division in hockey, too.

But why is it like that with Toronto? They played a great first half! Why is Reimer suddenly not stopping pucks anymore and why is the whole promising team suddenly underachieving? Not that I think they should've made it in the first place, with a roster like that.

Yeah, whenever they'd show some real promise any time, they just fell on thier face the next few games. Ive already writen them off this season.
