Look What I Did! :O

After approx 20 minutes of Skyrim goodness, it all went horribly wrong.

It might take some of you a while to even realise what's up in the picture.

[EDIT]It happened on a new Slim xbox. I stood up and just tapped the Xbox is my hand (Not purposely) and it must have been on a wire or something cause there's no way it was balanced properly lol. Anyhows the reason I'm not so upset is because I bought a copy for both me and my brother, and so I used his disc to install to my HDD (My disc is unreadable, and un-installable), and now I can play using my disc because it only requires about 5 seconds of loading.

So it's all good I guess lol.

Surprised you are rather calm about this. I'd go balls out and torch a MS office building unless you moved your 360 and all that.

Ouch, that svcks. You should be able to take it to gamestop or a rental place and have them buff it out with their machine as long as it's not too deep. Think it costs between $3-5.

Where do you live? There are stores ( like FYE) that will refinish discs for 3 bucks. Professional grade machines, I've used them, they work great. My condolences to you :(

Got the grind ring thing on the disc?

Damn that is crappy.

Are you able to get it buffed out like scratches and then just install it to the harddrive? I've never experienced it before but I have still been able to play heavily scratched games once installed on drive. If still doesnt work and if you can try installing a friends copy onto the drive, try then just use your own wrecked disk to load up the game.

White Xbox or Black Xbox?

The older white xboxs rrod.

The newer black slimer editions do not.

I had this happen when i got Oblivion, but back then i had the older white Xbox. Even happened to FO3 and some other games. Since getting the newer black Xbox i havent had any problems since~

Yeah, you can get it fixed as long as it's not too bad. You can actually do it yourself with various things like the disc skip fixer stuff. I actually got a BFBC2 disc along with my used xbox that was like that. Fixed it myself with the GameStop disc skip fixer solution. Took several applications and lots of elbow grease but It eventually buffed it out enough to let me install it on my HD. Taking it to a place that will do it with their machine for a few bucks is the best option though.

Damn man, that's unfortunate, but raises the question, why the hell play with your Xbox while Skyrim is running?

Despite what people say about the xbox being an entertainment system you cannot use it for a frisbee. Especially not with Skyrim in the console.

Yeah, if the disc is running in the console while it is moved in any way the result is a laser burn. (See image)
No fun.. :sadvaultboy:
