Lore-breaking anime crap (A Rant on mods)

Post » Wed May 23, 2012 11:46 pm

And I don't see anything wrong with these people having some imagination and creativity.

Interessting argument, I never understand it, because, the big part of these mods, are simply imported things from other japanes style games und universes, and I don't see the creativity to port such things like these "armors" and puppet-hair cuts to an other "world", in which point ist this creativity and imagination? And of course where are the creativity by this uncountless nvde, giant briasts, "sixy" armor, or pervers six mods? Of course this don't fits on everybody, but I would say on a big part of these mods on Nexus.

I don't care about 'lore'. Nothing in MY GAME has to be correct lore wise down to the letter..

Mh, a game especially a serious roleplaygame without lore is nothing, a good fantasy world depends on lore, without that it's just a simple concentration of things, which don't match each other, and when you make somehting like that it have in my case not to do much with art. And that's what a game, at least for part, should be.

And sorry for my english

Why do you hate our freedom

Seriously, the only thing that surprises me is that level 1-1 of Super Mario Bros has yet to be remade with the creation kit. Get to it modders!

Another thing to remember is there are many people out there that like to do other things with the game engine than play the game ! - and this game engine lends itself pretty well to being used for many things including complete overhauls of the game to a point where the game is nothing like the original and modders can enjoy the freedom to play around with the engine and use it the way they want - getting a lot of enjoyment out of a $60 investment. Whether they do things that fit with your wants and desires doesn't really matter since if there is something you think should be done your always free to do it also that's the great thing about this companies games !

Well, as i've often stated, i don't see Beth's games as anything but open world dungeon crawlers, so additional variation is only welcomed. So i completely agree with Terra.

New Vegas on the other hand was an actual RPG, and in that i did avoid any mods that didn't fit the setting. Project Nevada's Rail Cannon was pusing it, but i let it slide due to Rule of Cool :hehe:

What this rant sounds like to me is: "Why can't people play the game the way *I* play it, and like the things *I* like, and make the mods *I* want to see."

If you don't like a mod, don't use it.

If you don't like a mod, don't use it.
In addition to that, Dark0ne is working on a way to better filter content on Nexus, so some time in the future it should be easier to filter out the anime stuff and other content you're not interested in if you don't want to see it.
