Lost a best friend.

My friend's cat died in real life recently. She had a tumor and they had to put her to sleep.
It's allways horrible to lost one of your loved ones.

And that is why my character travels alone, because she knows all the animals and companions that could possibly join her are frail and mortal beings destined to die because they are not controlled by me.

Well remember, friend, I had that horse for 26 levels. That's a lot of time spent with that horse around. Just have to prepare ahead of time. Look out for signals of danger in the distance by sight or ear. Clues will come prior to combat, most of the time.

Lucky you, I had my first horse for 10 minutes before he disappeared off the face of skyrim. My second horse for about 20 minutes before he too ran off and was never seen again. 2k gold wasted. Need a "Dude wheres my horse mod" asap.

I take incredible pains to protect my horse and companions. Often leaving them behind and scouting ahead a ways. It makes me feel like I'm more inside of a real living fantasy novel, my role being similar to Strider's or a'Lan Mandragoran's. I just wish my horse didn't feel like running and charging the things I am in the middle of killing so much, and it's disturbing how she likes to graze around the bodies of my vanquished.

I'm similar... hate to see my companians die.

Btw its al'Lan isn't it? Isn't that why people thought Rand was a lord due to the al' at the start of his sir name? Haha, love that series far too much, my mage is Moiraine Damodred.

It was not a threat or grumpy. It was a hint on where to find him.

My horse has yet to die, however I recently did the quest in Riften to get Frost, and it seems he has replaced my original horse, as she is no longer where I left her... Makes me a little sad, but I'm sure Frost will serve me well.

I lost my dog, Meeko, that followed me around for a week to two High elves during a main quest line :( I locked it in a cage after it died.

At least it wasn't a dog.

I doubt I will ever buy a horse. Once I learned that you can't use them to carry stuff and riding is always third person they became rather useless.

That's why I either walk for fast travel. The only thing horses are good for are eating.

My horse just died because I was climbing down a cliff and went in a bad direction and fell, no epic death, but I was mortified all the same.

On the bright side that horse died epically. It was mauled by a bear, knocked off a mountainside, and fell into an ocean....only thing that would make that even more of a Hollywood action movie style death would be for it to have exploded on impact in a ball of flames (or maybe on fire as it fell like Denethor of Minis Tirith).

Being a lone hunter/barbarian I don't use horses and rarely have companions...if I want to get anywhere fast I jump in a carriage (since I don't use regular fast travel).
