Lost interest in Fallout:New Vegas

Putting the lack of indulgence in misc. caves in disregard, that's exactly what I've been doing myself. Yet, 36 hours, with no more quests to do, no more locations to explore, no stone left unturned, I find myself at a shortage for things to do.
The fact that people can actually use more than 100 hours on New Vegas has me rendered flabbergasted, to say the least. Quite frustrating how I could easily rack up 100+ hours in Fallout 3, whilst in New Vegas, 36 hours is my limit. :sad:

I don't know what to tell you. :shrug: One play-through was my limit on Fallout 3. About 60 hours or so. Got bored of wandering around finding Wonderglue.

Glitches well I must be a lucky one as I really haven't encountered any within the last 20 hours of gameplay. It also helps to go to places where you will have a low chance of getting a bad game glitch. Hence avoid Vault 3, Vault 34, The Thorn, or finishing Debt Collector. The Patch fixes a lot of those but still its better to be safe then sorry.

I'm still loving New Vegas but I do agree that this game should have been delayed a month or two to fix the bugs. Oh well thats what the GOTY edition or the Ultimate Fallout New Vegas edition will do, get rid of the bugs and have all the DLC assuming Obsidian and Bethesda make a GOTY type edition of the game which they will because they'll make a ton of money off of it.

The game seems to crash sometimes when I close the program, transition to a new zone, or right after saving.... but the crash I have the most is the ctd when exiting the game and that happens if I play over 4 hours straight.

I have only played the game pre patch and experienced none of those glitches. Guess they're unpredictable. :P

Add me to this sentiment about Skyrim. I'm not going to set myself up for disappointment. The most complicated games that stretch, push boundaries and have a large open world are going to have some bugs. I'll deal as long as the stories, characters and world are worth spending time on. Really looking forward to this one. :)

And, I'm on my third game of FNV...no loss of interest here at all...still finding new things and new ways of doing things.

Added: I crash too...so I save often.

If only Bethesda had not forced Obsidian to finish early for a pre-christmas release, had actually done their job as the official QA testers, and had not made Obsidian use an outdated engine.


Aww, don't be too hard on em for the bugs, they are working hard to iron it out.
If anything, be pissed that they had to abandon post-game freeplay and redo the ending so it's got a final "meh" roll credits dissapointment.

I disagree skyrim has plenty of time, a different deam did fallut, and obsidian did NV, meaning plenty of time for skyrim to get a new engine.

Basically Bethesda, the company responsible for Oblivion, fallout3, and Skyrim, hasn't done anything big since FO3 in 2008. That's 3 full years of development, when most games get 2, to come up with a new engine for Skyrim. Considering Bethesda has been using GameBryo since Morrowin (circa 2002), it seems like the perfect time to move onto a new engine. Besides, Bethesda has said multiple times that they will be using a new engine for Skyrim, so unless you think they are lying then we should be good to go.

Bethesda already announced that they'll be using a new, internally-developed engine for Skyrim.

I've lost a little bit of interest when I found out something interesting about the Vicki and Vance casino after Primm gets a sheriff, it involves pay day and lots of it.

Thank God they're getting rid of the old engine for Skyrim. It'll be nice to play an Elder Scrolls title without all the annoying bugs.

I never had trouble with oblivion it never froze and besides a few minor side quest ending glitches that could happen it was very stable considering the size and complexity,I would play fallout new vegas more if it didnt freeze 3 times in 2 hours,its ridiculous that the most you want from a game is for it to work like its supposed to in the first place.I went back to playing borderlands and until a DLC comes out for PS3 I probably wont play it that much.
