Actually, Xbox Customer Service is great. Other than the RRoD, I think its a great system. And plus, if you o get RRoD, they just give you another system and pay for all the shipping and handling. Really nice people on the phone too.
And I haven't gotten hacked yet. I truly don't understand what they hope to achieve. If it's because they don't like the game, the best strat for them is to just sell the game. They make some money back and Bethesda makes no money on that sale. That seems a little more of a step forward than hacking people''s forum accounts.
As far as "what the hackers hope to achieve," I don't know for sure. They get a lot of enjoyment out of hacking, tinkering with networks and what not...they're techies. But the hacking they do, which does nothing but affect gamers' lives in a negative way, gives these pathetic little maggots power. That's all they can have. No friends. No real talent. They have been ignored and laughed at all their lives because they are losers. They can't get real jobs because in a job interview they'd crap in their pants. So in order to feel better about themselves they do stuff like this.
I forgot to mention, the other reason I prefer the PS3 is because of the main reason I bought it: the blu-ray player.
I heard of the RRoD...and guess what? My first PS3 got the YLOD (Yellow Light of Death) about a year ago. The people at Sony said they had no idea what I was talking about. They were either lying through their teeth or they are so clueless they are not worth the time to try to deal with them. So they wanted me to pay practically the amount I could pay for a used system for them to fix it and send it back to me....IN ABOUT 8 WEEKS. The first blue-tooth headset I got was a piece of garbage that didn't work right out of the box. So I called Sony to see if they could help/explain. They couldn't. They walked me through a series of moronic steps that did nothing. So I returned it and ordered a new one, no problem. At some point that one stopped working. It just wouldn't respond at all. Again, their customer service was absolute crap and wasted my time. So I said, "You know what I bet will work? If I just let the battery run out and then recharge it." I was right, and it worked. Then later I downloaded Battlefield 1943...and it does NOT work at all with the blue-tooth headset (not for me or any of my friends). When I called Sony to ask for a PSN credit, they told me to call EA if I wanted a refund. So the game I downloaded on THEIR system, on THEIR network, which isn't compatible with THEIR headset is NOT their responsibility AT ALL? Last Christmas I got the Sony PS3 Surround Sound Bar. Pretty neat product...although the sub-woofers get BLOWN as soon as you turn the volume loud enough to actually hear anything. I had the serial number but Sony wouldn't send me a new one, because I didn't have a receipt. Why did I need a receipt? To prove it was within the one year warranty period....
even though the product had not been on the market for 6 months yet. Holy crap. Besides, it was a Christmas gift I got from a relative across the country. It's not as if I was trying to return a 90 inch plasma TV, it was a $200 piece of trash speaker. Just let send me a new one, morons.
The people at Sony customer service are possibly the most useless entities on the planet. This is why I highly doubt I'll be buying their next generation system.
I also have a Wii...and their customer service is absolutely awesome. Dealing with Sony is like being smack dab in the middle of some Monty Python skit.
