Merged "new" DLC discussions

I'd like to see it released for all three platforms at the same time. Screw the 360 and its accursed exclusivity deals!

I'd like to see them expand upon that little side plot with the folks from Hammerfell. But that's just my personal opinion. Either that or something involving a daedric prince, like we had in Morrowind and Oblivion expansions. I'd like to see more on either Clavicus Vile or Lord Sanguine. They amuse me.

Guild expansion DLC, adding considerably more content for all the guilds would be nice.

Or a new guild all together, some Illuminati type cult who run the show behind the puppets they place in power ;)

Haha don't we all, but that's more if an update than an expansion or DLC.

What I want to see is a re-balancing of the magic system; with features from previous games being added to Skyrim.

I want to see more snow elves. :) Or Orsinium, as that seems more likely.
I hope the next one has a longer main quest than Dragonborn (though that expansion was amazing, don't get me wrong).

I've seen a lot of posts hoping for a Hammerfell setting here and in every other thread regarding future DLC. That being said while Hammerfell would make an interesting location it is a province, like Skyrim, it deserves it's game. Orsinium, being a small city-state, would be far more appropriate than Hammerfell but nothing in game really points to either as a possibility.

Personally I'd like to see a DLC addressing the magic system, re-balancing it and adding new/lost features, before doing the next big thing.

The skys the limit for expansions but for a simple add on I'd really love to see a saber cat pat/mount. They could add a slightly larger essential saber cat or one of those rumored lion mounts from elsweyr and have it work as both a dog and a horse, meaning it can follow you around as a pet and can be told to go home or you can hop on its back and ride to glory

I hate both dogs and horses in skyrim, 1 doesn't shut up and gets in my way and the other thinks its a warrior and always charges into battle, sometimes starting with a bandit camp that I don't feel like fighting.

This DLC will likely never happen in this game, but I am hoping it's looked upon in future titles. An expansion. I'd like to see more of the Daedra. Where it takes place in the Oblivion realm of Molag Bal, Coldharbour. A realm that is the exact copy of Nirn but in ruins, darker, brutal, and far more violent. It would mostly expand on the neglected magic. Destruction and Conjuration being one of the main two. Newly added enemies such as Daedroth, Scamps, Clannfear can be summoned during certain points of the DLC. Weapons and armor would consist of different kinds of Daedric armor with different looks like Morrowind. The story would be that you stumbled into another trap by the infamous Molag Bal. He then takes you and makes you another one of his many slaves in Coldharbour. Over time, Molag Bal sees you as a worthy subject and decides to use you as more than a slave but a mercenary or soldier who will serve him. The plot thickens as you realize the threat of Boethiah, the rival of Molag Bal, has appeared throughout Coldharbour. That's the basics of the plot I thought it, could use some more thought. The DLC would probably work like Shivering Isles if you were to compare it to another DLC. A lot of exploration. As you can see I have put a lot of thought into the DLC because it's probably the thing I want most from TES series. :D

I'd rather do something on Boethiah's side. We already saw a lot of Bal in Dawnguard, and he's one of the most heavily featured Daedra in TES. We know comparatively little about Boethiah, and I'd like to know more.

There wasn't much of Molag Bal in Dawnguard really. The vampires just explained how they got their powers which was more Molag Bal, other then that there wasn't much else. Though I understand what you're saying. Like I said, just something I hope to see one day in TES.

I would love if the Imperial city is where the civil war/dragon problem is concluded. I think the elder council should also play their part in massive events in skyrim.

a) in terms of content
b] where should it take place
c) in terms of additional skills , armor & weapons
d) a more combat or story driven DLC
e) a combat /story balanced DLC
f) at least xxx amount of gameplay hours
g) a max. of xxx dollars price
h) &--#60; feel free to add more&--#62; :D

A) If we look a the content in terms of its size? If we look at it from an hours of content perspective? At least 20-30 hours of content. I do mean about 20-30 hours of content that it would take the average player to play through if they completed all quests and explored all areas, used fast travel, and didn't rush through the content.

B ) This is a tough one for me, my intro to TES was Oblivion, and have not played any other TES games, aside from Skyrim, but I think "Visiting" the Aldmeri Dominion would be interesting.

C) If Bethesda were to introduce new skills I would want them via patch and not DLC, and as for Armor and Weapons? Multiple varieties/styles for each type of armor (E.g. 3 different styles of Glass, Daedric, etc.).

D) The game is primarily combat driven, even with existing DLC, so I would like skills to have more meaning. Such as: Using your knowledge of certain skills to have additional conversation options, different ways to solve quests other than by violence.

E) More leaning on story than combat, but if we go to the Aldmeri Dominion, then there will still be plenty of blood to shed, most assuredly.

F) Covered above

G) If it had al of the above? $20-$30?

H) If the DLC were to go to the Aldmeri Dominion to end the White Gold Concordat, then an expansion to the civil war content would be in order, along with that an ability to switch sides, and maybe an option to kill Tullias or Ulfric once the civil war is ended. I like the idea of joining the Stormcloaks to oust the empire, but having the option to kill Ulfric at the end of the Civil War. My characters that suport the Stormcloaks generally support the war, but not Ulfric as High King, so having the option to challenge him like he challenged Torygg would be cool. For my Empire supporters, the option of Killing Tullias would be cool to have as well, whether for revenge or otherwise.

a) Content... as long as it's a vauguely plausible rabit trail like Dawnguard was or Dragonborn seems to be I'll enjoy it. Though some continuation of the Thalmor storyline would be wonderful.

B.) I'd love anything that expanded the borders some: west up the Morrowind coast to Blacklight, East to Dragonstar and the The Alik'r Desert, or south into Cyrodil.
While I wait for Dragonborn to release and go on sale I started replaying Gothic 3 with the Community Patch 1.75. One of the things I love about this game is the landscape. The desert, the green heartland, and the snowbound Nordmar. I'd love to get a little more variety out of Skyrim.

c) I'd love to be able to climb, swing my sword while airborn, and in the water. As for armor and weapons: would be neat to see some unique items made of an existing material but with unique look or characteristics and some sort of backstory. Zephyr (Bow) is a good example.

d&e) Combat or Story... feared or respected, is it to much to ask for both? I would love to see a choice or two with some impact. I picture a Serana type or better an Isabela from DA2 that you might save and turn into a companion at the price of some danger and new enemies and/or getting your hands dirty or abandoning her to her fate and losing the chance. Would be better if your character witnessed said fate to give it some heft. Bethesda gave Serana a bunch of situational dialog, would be fun to have some of that that is actually funny. I'd love to have a companion who gives me some crap. Something like "Well, that was diplomatic" after killing a Thalmor or Imperial/Stormcloak patrol, or "Damn, that 5th cup of mead was a bad Idea" after getting knocked down, or "Remind me to avoid your tailor" if you switch to mismatched armor, or "I remember this place, it looks different from atop the bar" or "I've been thrown out of nicer places than this" if you enter a bar. So I guess story is nice, but memorable characters would be great.

f&g) I think they have a good balance of gamplay and price with Dawnguard and dragonborn. Add 20+ (+/- depending on how you play) hours of gameplay for $20. Although I'd gladly pay for more using that ratio.

Let's help the developpers and name three things that we would eagerly welcome in the game. No discussion, no questions or answers - just three things we would like to see the most.

I'll start, if I may:

1. Bigger cities with much more quests in them.
2. More different armor. Sets of armor that consist of more items. Morrowind was ideal in that regard.
3. Savefiles that you can edit and clean mods out of them. -)

Thank you and carry on. )

5p34r5 & w3r3b34r5 :P

All jokes aside:

1. More Spells
2. More mage robes
3. More places to explore

That's it. I am not too creative.

e) a combat /story balanced DLC
f) at least xxx amount of gameplay hours
g) a max. of xxx dollars price
h) < feel free to add more> :D

a) new beasts, monsters, towns and ruins, as well as new flora, fauna and geography
B) orsinium, in a long and scenic mountain valley, with settlements along a road strung from falkreath to orsinium to the fringe of the Alik'r desert in NW hammerfell, as well as a brief visit to the ashpit to meet with malacath.
c) none needed, unless the devs can dream up the inclusion of some nifty artifacts (daedric, aedric or even dwemer)
d) story driven. In particular, I'd like to resolve the allegiance of Orsinium (thalmor vs imperium/skyrim and the influence - honorable and/or nefarious - of Hammerfell, High Rock and visiting/spying Akaviri races), the malacath/trinimac dichotomy, and I'd REALLY like to get a chance to absolutely stomp Boethiah.
e) story predominating. The combat will follow. But you should be able to explore more deeply in areas and skills besides combat - magic, espionage, assassination, underworld criminality, diplomacy, business, etc....
f) 80, minimum.
g) $40

There are fundamental elements of a knockout story in an Orsinium expansion that touch upon the basic needs, aspirations, hopes, desires, fears, tribulations, doubts, disappointments and betrayals that are a part of human existence. A carefully crafted Orsinium DLC could, in fact, be shakespearean or even wagnerian in breadth and depth.

Yesterday I read on elderscrolls.net that "Redguard" will not be the next add-on. I think they're right, the title sounds too trivial.
"Dragonborn" is also a bland/vague title, but we all know how that ended up...
