Merged "new" DLC discussions

Post » Tue Jan 22, 2013 10:10 pm

I hope in the next dlc we go to the city of dragonstar in hammerfell. It would make sense as bethesda have trademarked the name redguard and half the city is owned by skyrim. Also could have some interesting quests to do with the two sides fighting. There's also a mages, fighters and thieves guild and could do quests revolving around them. I think it would be awesome if they did this but really fleshed out the city to seem like a city and gave us some of the surrounding area in hammerfell. Either that or do what I just suggested but with orsinium

again.. feel like I'm repeating things. lol.

I want Dragonstar AND the Isle of Stros M'kai.

Stros M'kai would definitely open up more lore about the Dwemer and Dragonstar would add to the mage class with Shadow magic.

Expand on Skyrim continually whereas to allow people to keep they're character, possessions extra instead of making a whole new E/S and start a new one from sqatch.

The greatest part of the old D&D pen and paper game was evolving your character over years as if it were your own life. Or in other words, the ability to "LIVE" vicariuosly through your charictor in a fantasy world. Not just abandon them once a quest or game is over.

This is what sounds so intrigueing about the "build a house" part of the DLC content.

And I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want to spend alot of time designing/building a house just to give it up after they decide to produce a new Elder Scrolls installment.

I really don't see where this concept is so lost on RPG producing software companies.

I've conquered Skyrim (my charictor) I'm READY togo for Tamreil.

I'd like to see it released for all three platforms at the same time. Screw the 360 and its accursed exclusivity deals!

Would it still transfer the same type of save file or would i have to convert the file type ?

You would have to convert the file, but since you would be using a thumbdrive, you could just copy, instead of move. That way the original save exists on the xbox's HDD. There are two tools that are perfect for this, one is Modio, and the other is something comparable with Gibbed's ME2 save editor. The only save's I edited were my ME2 when the originals glitched on me, and I used it as a method to rectify the issue. So I'm not sure what save editors are worthwhile for Skyrim.

Modio download link. : http://www.game-tuts.com/community/index.php?pageid=modio

I hope this helps.

A quick edit for a useful link. http://gamethingdaily.com/2011/11/19/xbox-360-skyrim-saves-transferrable-to-pc/

Seems you don't need a gib editor to change the file over. Modio will suffice for the transfer.

whatever the dlcs are, i just want THEM to OPEN the goddam border gates. That pass to morrowind is mocking me to go over it, but i cant because 'you cannot pass' :(

It is funny how dawnguard HQ is over the riften border, yet we have to go through some goddam cave. Fail bethesda...

I'm not too familiar with the lore of Hammerfell, but I would LOVE to see a desert like environment.

If they do the Redguard DLC they should really make Dragonstar, thick, dense, and full of content. They should also add some wilderness regions around the city.
Continuous Thread of will there be an update or New Dlc News?

Discuss about the Rumored Dlc "Redguard" and other things
I thought Redguard had been trademarked as an online game as opposed to downloadable content? Implying it's more likely to be fore TES:O? It could have been a false rumour, I suppose.

Yes REDGUARD WILL NOT BE A DLC, THEY WERE JUST RENEWING THE TRADEMARK FOR THE GAME REDGUARD. try checking the other 1257 threads, you probably won't find anything though.

Wait:

Second extension means the legal protection of the name/word/phrase as a trademark, copyright or otherwise protected product name has been granted in the past and extended once (since these legal protection actions have a finite life span, as required by law), and that legal protection is being extended once more - hence, SECOND EXTENSION.

It does not, repeat NOT have any meaning that can be associated with a Skyrim DLC planned for the future that uses the same name as an earlier product in the elder scrolls series of games.

And even then, I believe Dragonborn (or maybe Hearthfire if you want to consider that) was the second extension.

I really think that redguard is a separate thing I mean it was it's own game what is a trademark called dagerfall came out would you still think it was a dlc for skyrim. I think it's another game or a expansion for eso

eh, that argument is moot in a sense. We've heard no rumors of a separate game coming out from any sources. If anything, both rumors; Redguard as is own game and Redguard as a DLC comes from the same source; the trademark, but which seems more relevant/viable: the DLC, why- because Skyrim is current, it's what is 'now' and what we know. If anything, the next TES will be for next gen consoles which probably won't be released for a while.

It's about time that they try to make a new environment , different from snow and pine trees .... I think a nice Wrotangar or how's are spelled montains woudl be cool , it would offer also a limited setting that doesn't enlarge too much , present the citadel of Orsinium , make some light on orcs and finally also open the borders.... hoping that orcs there use spears hehhhe ....
