I miss cartridges...

I remember when I got Donkey Kong for the Atari 2600 for Christmas. Then I saw a few days later that a friend got it for his ColecoVision and it looked like the real arcade version. I was so upset.

If you think Skyrim is buggy, you've never played Arena or Daggerfall. I always used to laugh at how people were saying Morrowind was way too buggy... it was a veritable paradise compared to Daggerfall! I've always felt that the move to consoles really helped clean Bethesda up as far as coding practices go.

The game is running great for me! Logged 3 or 4 hours yesterday straight gameplay, with 1.2 and everything. Don't know what you're complaining about...

hell yeah.. but have you tried doing any sidequests or exploring and suddenly find that you cant progress in one because your exploration discovered an item too soon .. for example? I can run around for 20 hours in 1.2 as well.. but knowing that quests breaks if I find an item so I wont be able to complete them just ruins the fun...

I think it's highly unlikely that any fix that comes out will be retroactive..

lol yup... I built a new PC just for it. U9 was ahead of it's time though, like most Ultima releases, and was also a true open world game so EVERYTHING was rendered including interiors, and almost every object was interactive. I can't say that, with honesty, about Skyrim... Skyrim graphically is about on par with industry standards, and it's not a true open world game.

Not to slam it, Skyrim will be amazing once it's cleaned up. In fact with Skyrim I'd say the art direction was well done. It definitely has the atmosphere I've been hungering for... since the Ultima days in fact.

I miss the days where bug fixing consisted of taking the game out and blowing on it.

Hehe good one... yeah, or jiggling the cartridge and hitting reset a few times.

Gone are the days when a little scotch tape could fix a game.....:-)
