Mjoll the best followeer but why not specialize in one hande

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 11:10 pm

Mjoll is by far the best follower in Skyrim but her faithful grimsever is a one handed weapon, when she specializes in two-handed (Wuthrad). She should be a shield and single sword specialist. I do have to admit I like her cracking skulls with Refuel or the Wu.

He isn't the best follower, the housecarls are stronger for a start, they level to 50 whilst she only levels to 40.

The strongest follower is probably marcurio, no follower can compete with constant chain lightning at 50 damage (he has augmented shock iirc). He also has a huge magicka pool, utility spells like stone flesh (he has the Mage armor perk).

He is hands down the best follower. His skill in battle is unmatched!

The best follower is a follower that doesn't get in my way.

So, really, i'm best off alone.

However, the least worst follower is any follower that can't die. So... Serana, the Dark Brotherhood Initiates, aaand.... Who else?

For the character I play, stealth archer I don't really need a follower other than as a pack mule, saying that however, Eola I find is well hard and pretty stealthy to boot, pity her looks are ruined with that eye, but it does look menacing, being a cannibal also helps in the menacing department from a role playing point of view that is, I'm in no way condoning that kind of behaviour in real life lol.

I find she also seldom gets in my way, Lydia was a freakin magnet for every attack I made, the wariorer type followers are more hindrance than help.

I'm going to agree on this as well. When i hired him, I expected him to wind up hanging on some bandits wall as a trophy. I *didn't* expect him to completely obliterate everything we have fought so far, I've even grown to love his withering sarky comments :D

I can't use her. Her voice and the things she says just annoy the crap outta me. If she wasn't essential she would be at the bottom of a lake somewhere with a dagger in her back.

I agree the weapon type is wrong for her one way or another. Why is this asked in the Dawnguard forum?

I got the same question with Aela why does she wear heavy armor but she is a master in light?

Doesn't make sense Beth?

^^ The worst is Farkus. He has the highest rating of 100 in smithing while a 25 in heavy armor. Looks like someone at beth typed in the wrong numbers-stats for Farkus.

Really?!? Wow, I think it might be w mistake cause smithing for a follower doesn't even help you or them. Plus doesn't he trains you in heavy armor to master? Than for sure it was a mistake.

Lydia is by far my favorite follower; holding off ancient dragons....albeit I play a mage character and have to watch my aim. :stare:

Yeah, Farkas stats are strange. Heavy Armor rating 15, Smithing 100, Block at 20, One-Handed 100, Two-Handed 25. Team beth probably did type in the wrong numbers because Farkas stats dont make sense at all. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Farkas Yeah, Lioness is definitely my favorite follower. She can pretty much handle everything and she isnt a mule like other followers. She has a ton of dialogue, even comments on cities like Whiterun and Solitude. In a cave she had a little rant how much she hates bandits because they raided her village when she was young.

I've often wondered this with Mjoll as well. I play a stealth character and I find the warrior type followers a blessing. As soon as she spots trouble I immediately go into sneak and look for higher ground where I can snipe from a distance. I don't have a problem aiming around her either.

Serena is the best follower, because she can't die, and why is something that isn't relevant to DG in the DG forums.
