It's kind of funny when people say how TES Online is such a generic fantasy game etc etc. As much as I love the series, when has The Elder Scrolls not been a generic fantasy game? Sure, there are little flavour bits that add some originality, but in general it's all pretty generic - and indeed, I quite like it that way. I love me some common fantasy tropes.

But yeah, the only real consensus that I've seen on the comments is that the majority are misinformed. But ah well, the naysayers have no obligation to play, and I won't find myself any poorer for their loss.
