Hello,

How can I disable scope view to take a screenshot from 3rd person view while aiming with a scope?

You can't really. You have to be quick with the console.

Or you can make use of the global time multiplier.

SetGlobalTimeMultiplier, or SGTM for shorthand, is a script/console command that can alter the rate at which time moves. It is normally at a value of 1. Values less than 1 will slow down time. A value of 0 will crash your game. Values greater than one will speed up time.

Scope in, then scope out, and then catch it at just the right moment after exiting the scope, and then enter the console command "tfc 1", which will go into Freecam and will freeze everything but scripts. You can use the console command "FOV" to alter the field of view angle (I don't remember what FOV is in script longhand). Normal value is 75.

Even if you go into third person, then look through the scope could you still use TFC 1, or would you still lose your body?
I've never tried as I just use a pose from FO3's Groovatron.

You have to catch it right as you exit the scope with TFC 1, which is why lowering the global time multiplier helps there.

Do you know if anyone will port over the Groovatron? I miss it a lot. I have a conflict with the pose mod for NV and the six mods, the six mods just don't work when I have that 'few poses more' loaded.

I got a new team today.

I use Few Poses More, but only for the esp. I don't like any of its poses, instead I picked out all the poses and animations from Groovatron I liked, as well as a handful of my own I made myself, changed their filenames (from p01, p02, p03 etc to match the ones in FPM) then just type it into the console - player.playidle f01 - and it works just fine. No fiddly conversion required, unlike converting from Oblivion to Fallout, which I now have the hang of :)

Some have 'ported Groovatron for their own use, and I do have it myself, but still don't use it as it needs NVSE and I refuse to use that at this time. If there's ever a time it doesn't use the game launcher then I'll use it. For now, no.

Anyway. That's how I do it :)

This http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38644 lets you use NVSE while still bypassing the launcher screen and Steam entirely. Looks like there are some hoops to jump through if you're using 32 bit Windows, but the install is pretty simple if you're 64 bit.

WoW I sure wish I knew how to do that! Wow! LOL!!!! Thank you for taking the time to explain this to me, I don't really understand all of it, I'm no modder but this sounds like something I might be able to do one of these days if the lightbulb goes off in my head and I totally understand how to do all this. But right now, I would need a little more tutoring. :sadvaultboy: I just figured out how to get the face advance tab to work! :unsure: btw, I'm SaturnC over at nexus, I'll make sure to check out your stuff. ;)

I looked at that myself, but I can't figure out what to use to bind it to. Normally I use http://www.ntcore.com/exsuite.php to make it read more than 3 gigs but I didn't know what to use, I tried the launcher but it didn't work because I use the mod manager to launch to game. I had the same problem with that program, I didn't know what to use to launch the game.

Your scenic shots are awesome! What mods are you using? I have Nevada Skies and I'm trying the The IMAGINATOR now but don't have the hang of all the settings yet, and I don't play inside that much. Do you change the .ini file at all or just use mods? Are you using that mod that has the moon look like ours or the big moon?

I'm using 64 bit Windows 7 so I haven't had to do anything beyond using the utility to modify FalloutNV.exe. It looks like there's a link to a kernel patcher for 32 bit Windows 7 users, and a separate set of instructions for 32 bit Windows XP users. Either way though, once you've modified the exe, you can just launch via FOMM. It loads NVSE and goes straight to the game without having to start up steam.

http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/images/38589-1-1295969441.jpg I have no idea, because at the moment my upcoming anologue clock mod isn't working quite right.

@ Lady Moiraine - I use URWLNV + ELECTRO CITY(The street lights) + The Imaginator + FNV Enhanced Shaders with the ultra high quality settings. I get around 45 FPS with 2xAA and pretty much everything else maxed.

I'd heard about that, but didn't read about it. I had the one for FO3, whatever that was called.
I've got 32 bit Windows XP but installing was pretty easy, too. I guess I don't need to be using my 'bypass the launcher and steam' batch file anymore? Just the NVSE loader? But, even using the batch file I have noticed some improvement in my game. I'm carting around 5 followers (on the way to getting two more) and it's not as laggy anymore :)

@Imp of the Perverse
Thank you for explaining that to me!

@Jerhicco
Thank you! I see a lot of people over at nexus using the FNV Enhanced Shaders. I had been using Electro City but didn't care for all the locations and NPC's it added. You just use the street lights? I might go back to that, am still experimenting but I didn't care for the completed works. I am using the Imaginator with Nevada Skies. URWLNV is still too bright for me.

@barrettsfloyd
You have a mod that changes Papa's Khans house? I sure hope that gun wasn't pointing at him! NO!!!! :)

@MystykStar
Your gecko is just WAYYY too cute!

How can I make my character so hes not in the center of the picture? So hes on the side? :cryvaultboy:

A suggestion would be to have your character in 3rd person, then type tfc in the console command. That way you can pull the camera away and swing it around to any angle you want, that might work for ya! ;)

Sometimes it's just not worth getting out of bed in the morning :sadvaultboy:

After spending about an hour going through the thread and viewing all (yes all) of the screenies. I realized that I couldn't post multiple replies (for obvious reasons—not the least of which is it's pretty arrogant) so I quoted the ones I liked and made comments.

When I went to preview the post to double check it i get
"You have exceeded the allowed number of quotes!"

AAaaarrrrrgggghhhhh!! :ahhh:

So I'll just say, What an awesome collection from some very creative and imaginative folks! Kudos!

I still have a bunch of pics to get up into the album but I'm having too much fun playing new mods as they come out.

I had to play with the settings in the imaginator and tested a few different lighting/weather combinations. It's just what worked best for me and my setup. Took about a week to get it all just how I like it. Keep playing around with the stuff and see what works best with your setup ^.^
