Pretty much everything new...

Specifically hardcoe mode, and weapons mods. I'm excited for new weapons, armors, quests, locations... everything.

I LOVE Fallout, but I get tired of knowing what's around the next corner, where the neat stuff is, etc.

I'm mostly looking forward to the anticipation of a brand new game.

The setting is one of the biggest improvements IMO. I'm glad were going back out West :)

Also the return of some of the creatures/enemies of old; nightkin, proper (generally more intelligent) super mutants, spore plants, geckos and mantis'.

Not forgetting different types of ammo is returning too.

And probably the best RPG/gameplay feature is the overhaul of perks and reintroduction of traits.

A new thing I'm anticipated for is hardcoe Mode.
But the thing I'm most anticipated for that isn't new is crafting and gun mods, which isn't new either. (Sorry but I've played all games and neither of these two are new.)

In the form that it appears in New Vegas it is new to the series. (Well, except for Mods)

Crafting?
Nope.
Not new.
It's just extended and a lot more detailed.
It's a big plus but still, ain't new.

This is a very difficult decision. I'm equally anticipating every new feature. Here's 5.

1. "New" and actual new mutated creatures. Also the many varieties of one type of animal.
2. Iron sights. The only game I've played with this feature was FEAR 2 oddly enough.
3. Weapon modding/2x more weapons.
4. Factions
5. That damn Desert Armor.

That reminds me, even though this isn't a feature my /thread would be Caesars Legion.
They're just so.... [censored]... Awesome!
I mean they got skirts and ninja masks and awesome roman helmets!
What's not to love!?

/end fangirl rant.

Mods. And I didn't say the idea is new. The form how its implented IS.

Modding in the former Fallouts was SEVERLY both by a limited number of weapons (Fallout 1 had 1 weapon) and only one possible combination PER weapon.

New Vegas removes these two points completly. In fact, apart from having someone do it for you it is a complete rework of the system.

Thats how I meant what I said.

I'm looking forward to all the new places to explore, new quests, and generally having to figure out this new world they gave us. As someone already mentioned, I too have played FO3 to death and know what's around every corner at this point. So, it will be nice to actually anticipate what's coming up.

Also, I'm surprised someone has not already mentioned this, but I'm REALLY looking forward to the new assets, objects and kits to GECK around with! :hubbahubba:

Still not new then, just heavily expanded on and a small redesign.

The best way to avoid disapointment is to avoid hype and pre-release information. You won't get excited, but you won't be disapointed either :D

Well, that and pretty much take everything you see and read with a grain of salt until you play it and make up your own mind how you feel about it! :whistling: :whisper:

what is hardcoe mode

Actually it's pronounced "hardcore mode"

And it's a separate mode you can turn which does this
    * Stimpacks heal over time
    * Ammo has weight
    * Limbs can only be healed by doctors or Doctor Bags (an item)
    * You need to drink to stay alive
    * You need to eat to stay alive.
    * And IIRC you need to sleep.

Being able to shoot non-lethal ammo and so can in essence never kill someone. I'd like to play a character that would use violence as a last resort.
