Someone else brought this up and I agree. It's crazy loud. I also lose audio during MP matches all the time.

Every time I hear music playing it sounds like it's clipping/distorting quite a bit. I was wondering does anyone else have this issue? I'm using the optical out and this is the only game that I have problems with the audio on.

I have noticed this as well, but its only during certain tracks. I like the music in this game so I dont wanna have to turn down the music volume to avoid a headache.

You can lower the music volume in the settings. I just did this last night and it really helped.

I've also had the same problem. In the customization screen in the multiplayer mode, it will play that rock type song and the first play through of it is fine, then when it loops and plays a second time, it sounds like music playing through blown speakers. (or it sounds REDICULOUSLY loud). @Cry-Adam can you give us some help here?

Not only does it sound horrible and loud as crap. The music volume setting does nothing to the menu music. Yet another issue that should have been caught in the testing phase. Seriously, I don't understand how these problems don't get caught. If I was on the team that made the game I would be ashamed that I missed something so obvious and annoying.

For a minute I thought I was one of the only people with the clipping/distorting audio. I am running the audio from my PS3 into my surround sound via the optical output and it is the only game that is distorting the music. It sounds terrible.

Please tone the volume down on the music right before you enter the map loading screen. It's extremely loud and makes a horrible distorting sound. I love this game but the spawn system needs to be fixed as well.

Yep waiting for a multiplayer game to start you need to mute the damn game because it distorts so bad. The signal is so loud it clips.

This problem was in the MP demo and I assumed it'd be fixed for the release. I get that they're trying to pump you up for a game but the difference in volume is way to big

i absolutely agree with the op. the music gets ridiculous and overblown. it's not the worst problem in the world but it'll be nice when it's fixed.

and turning down the music in the sound options doesn't fix this problem, it just makes the ambient music more quiet and you still get that distorted, overblown blast that has you reaching for the remote.

The music gets really loud for me sometimes too. It starts off normal but then if the song ends or a leave a room it just goes up by 10. Have to put it on mute till I get into the match. Sometimes the guns in the MP stop making noises for me too. Hopefully all this can be fixed in the next patch though. Other than that great game Crytek.
