I must be the ONLY player that doesn't have a problem with t

I seriously don't have any issues with it. Granted, it's pretty "simple" and "boring", but it works and nothing technical jumps out at me.

1. Mouse works fine throughout the ENTIRE interface.
2. I can open and close chests using "E".
3. I can use the tab key fine and don't have to "push buttons all over my keyboard franticly" as one user put it.
4. The graphics are great.
5. The gameplay is great.
6. I play on High settings and no framerate issues. (I have an older pc)
7. I also didnt have problems installing the game, nor downloading it from Steam. Was done in 20 minutes total time.

I guess I must have received a golden copy of Skyrim.

I have this feeling that your copy is the same as everyone elses, which means something else must be wrong with all those games out there, maybe its something between the chair and monitor.

Yeah. It's like user feedback depends on there being something in that void. Because, you know, they didn't make this game for the empty void between the chair and the monitor.

really this game is so much easier to play if you use a controller. just go out and get one, trust me the interface seems to be tuned to it.

You're not the only one, friend. It took me a bit of time to get used to the interface, but now it really feels great.

Yes you and the random "rabid fan boys"...

Everyone else on the PC is insulted that Bethesda had the balls to release that [censored] "Console Port" to the public.

It's 2011 and this is what you're happy selling as a working PC interface?

Give me a [censored] break...

If that's what Bethesda intended, then there should have been a Skyrim-themed XBOX controller included in the CE package.

I already have 2 controllers, one with about 101 keys on it, and one with a bunch of clickable buttons... if this game needs extra hardware to run it should've been in the box, for free.

Pretty much this. Until properly patched or a new good interface mod shows up, I'll stick with my xbox controller; is working perfectly!

Cute.

Why is it so hard for you to comprehend that maybe these "technical issues" aren't really that much of a problem for some folks? People complain about not being able to click around the interface using their mouse. Umm...really? I have no problem doing that. People complain about not being able to close books and/or chests after opening. I have no problem doing that. People complain about not being able to navigate through their item selections and skill selections using the mouse. I can do that too. People complain about things that I dont have an issue with.

If playing the game without issues makes me a really devoted fan because things work, then so be it.

Now I never said the interface was pretty...it's pretty boring and plain, but the system works.

I forgot that you not having issues carries more weight than the hundreds of posters in the PC Tech forums reporting major bugs that should have been caught on day 1 of testing.

I heard that those issues only exist on the pirated version of the game, hehe. So you can tell anyone complaining about the mouse in the menu to just go buy the game, like the rest of us!

You heard wrong. And don't tell people to play with a controller on their PC. That's like saying "lol, just go play with a mouse and keyboard" on your Xbox.

once you figured out how the new interface works, its fine actually.

But equipping gears using the favourite hotkeys need some work.

The [censored] will get smacked by Bethesda, and still worship in admiration. I just wonder how much the modders will be able to improve upon.

It doesn't irritate me as much now as when I first tried the game, but I still don't like it. Oblivion's UI was a lot better in my opinion.

I hate when you cannot list your items the way you want (cost, weight etc). I spend hours looking for items that are most heaviest

Im the same situation like you. I dont have any dramas over the ui system. Took me 5 mins to figure out where everything was and was good.

Sure I can see why it might be easier with controller, but mouse and keyboard work great for me regardless, im a happy gamer.

Also this game was a last minute impulse buy, and only watched one trailer of it, so could be that I didnt hype myself up for the game.

I mostly agree, however some of the "shortcuts" are awkward with enter beeing one. I like to keep my hands on the mouse + WASD at all times.

Sure I would have preferred to be able to link my spells/actions to numbers but it is what it is so instead of jumping on the forums to complain I just played the game.

The UI took around 10 minutes to get used to and as the OP said my mouse works fine in the menus as do the hotkeys for opening chests etc,Once you get your favourites sorted out on the quick menu it is really easy.

Complaints so far?......erm I will get back to on that ;)
