Name for my daughter

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 6:12 am

The amount of weird names is just crazy :( I'm so happy my parents gave me a nice normal name. I wonder if some actually want their kid to be bullied in school :violin:

Generic names are just so...bland. There are too many Johns and Codys and Mikes etc. Why is everyone so focused about school? More schools are implementing a zero-tolerance policy on bullying. If I had a girlfriend named Dovah, I'd be clinging on to her for dear life.

Just remember to add both "xX_Xx" and "420" to the name.

Do you want the kid to ever learn how to spell her own name?

I'm sure substitute teachers will be thrilled at roll call.

Ni! (she shall say "Ni!" to all until they bring her a shrubbery and cut down a mighty tree with a herring)
And if she dislikes that name, she can change it when she grows up to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9d6t6jOte-w&feature=related

Please don't name her Isabella, Sophia, Ava, Madison, Chloe and all the other flavor of the month names. There'll be dozens of them in all her classes in school. If I had a daughter I'd name her Jane just to go against the herd mentality.

At one point in highschool there were three of us with the same name in the same class, really annoying because you never knew who the teacher was talking to when they called one of us by name. There were also two girls who had the same first name and the same family name, even worse. So yeah, try to pick a name that won't be too common, if you can.

I can't say any of those names have been popular here in recent years.
My name was rather popular in primary 4 of us in the same class, when you were doing something wrong you had to stop incase the name the teacher said was directed at you and not the others.

My friend is going to name her baby girl Zelda when she's born. As soon as she told me she was pregnant I knew what the name would be. Massive Zelda fan.

Thank [deity(s)] I wasn't named after a terrible video game series. I'd be forever pissed.
