Imperials
They don't really exist yet.

And... aren't you supposed to be dead?

They do exist but not as the imperials in Skyrim. They exist as Colovians and Nibeneseans and their descendants later become what is known as imperials.

If there was one thing in terms of gameplay? If set before 2E 896 I better damn well see Cyrodiil as a jungle.

If it is not so on release then by Numinatus I shall pester them until a fan-apeasing patch is released.

I hope we will participate in some Machiavellian plots and intrigue, either involving NPCs, or perhaps even among the player guilds and factions.
The article implied pretty fun-sounding alliances and betrayals possible among character guilds in the Cyrodiil Interregnum thing/PvP mode.

I want them to get the lore right. But so far it doesn't look good.

Argonians, Nords and Dunmer working together? Bretons and Redguards working with Orcs? Orcs in the Second Era not being killed on sight?

And then there's the plot. A power struggle between Molag Bal, Jagar Tharn's ancestors and Mannimarco? Why don't we throw in Dagoth Ur and Alduin just to make it a proper super villain team-up.

There is literally nothing about the plot as it has been presented that would be impossible.

The time-frame they have chosen is a realitivly unknown part of history, and most of the sources that detail that time, i.e. the pocket guide to the empire, have both been proven to be terribly inccorec due to imperialist propoganda.

Actually, there is. Argonians and Dunmer have hated each other since the dawn of time, as have Dunmer and Nords. As this game is in the Second Era, before the Empire united them, and before the Red Year and all those other things that made them put aside their differences, there is no way in hell that they would form an alliance.

And the only time Redguards and Bretons get along is when they kill Orcs (who only became citizens in the Third Era, some 400-odd years after TES Online).

And the supervillain teamup is just stupid.

Past hatred does not make future allianeces impossible in any way.

The Dunmer and Nords have teamed up at least once before to take down Dagoth Ur, and the Argonians never really gave a [censored] about thier enslavement, even after the red year all they did was take back the old part of Black Marsh and sit there when they could have commited mass genocide on the Dunmer.

This "hatred" that would make it impossible is unfounded.

Also, Nords, Redugards, and Orcs are known to respect eachother greatly becuase of thier combat prowers. Furthermore the Orcs were part of the second Empire. It is not beyond reason that former enemies who have great respect for eachother could team up.

As for the badguys, its more like Tharn's family and Manimmarco have teamed up, becuase Mannimarco promised them power, but Manimmarco is selling everyone out to Molag Bal. The three forces are not all allied with eachother, or working for the same goals.

It is even stated directly in the scans that The Impeirals dont know Mannimarco is working with Molag.

You are aware that isnt exactly canon?

You must also rmemebr that the Argonains are ruled by the hist, who are by thier very nature unknowable trees.

And the dunmer would do anything the Tribunal said.

If the hist said ok and the tribunal said OK the dunmer , arognian and Nord alliance would be very possible.

Id love that too but theyd better have a darn tootin good explanation.

At this point in time Vvardenfell, and Vivec city, is a Tribunal Temple reservation and not open to colonisation, or anything else.
I do not expect it to feature in the game, unless maybe you play a Dunmer or unless maybe not from the start.
It wouldnt make sense.
We may meet him, but not in Vivec city.

Alamalexia resides in Mournhold on mainland Morrowind though and I do expect her to be represented.
Sil as a rumour only, at this time he doesnt really involve himself with mortals anymore.

Well they did say that some areas will be locked off for expansions, so perhaps Vvardenfell wont be accessable when the game initially launches?

To have the game developed with 1st person in mind. Combat, exploration, dialogue, etc. This is all I ever wanted from a TES mmo or co-op based game.

I know it's not going to happen though. Which is why my face contorts itself with discontent whenever I think about those screenshots.
