Nano catalyst amount randomly disappears and resets. : Crysis

Hey all, i actually just posted a topic about this, It just happened to me except it occured after i beat the game, and now when i started over I cant collect anymore of the credits/catalyst

where as on my Xbox I was able to collect catalyst after beating th game

and I run a 64 bit system as well

My situation was the Catalyst went to 0 when I exited the game and then resumed. At that point I could not accumulate anymore Catalyst. I would collect it but my number would stay at 0. This occurres for about three levels until finally they would start accumulating again. However by this point I have lost opportunity at accumulating enough Catalyst to buy any features. I exit the game and the Catalyst is gone. I suppose the answer at this point is just not to exit the game.

i have only experienced this problem on pc thus, ive beaten the game on xbox and havent come accross this,

just pray for a patch lol

i finished the game with no problems, then i started on a new diff and now i cant collect any, it says i did but my counter reads 0

It happened with me, merrily playing it on hardcoe, i was unsure how much nano catalyst i could get so i wasn't realy spending it all, i had saved around 20k+ and then it all disapeared

the moral of that story is, spend them while you have them

Although i don't think its ment to do that, i even loaded up my old save games from the previous levels and found that in each one of them the nano catalyst had been reset, abit annoying.

well it does happen to me, but i just load the game i think 6 chater before it end, most of alien i killed, i dint get any, but ltr than that im starting collecting point back, n when i get certain amount for upgrade, im quickly buy suit module before it gone..i did that till end of chapter till all my armor fully upgrade..then strt new campaign..press H, and all is fully upgrade no change ;p

I just finished the single player campaign and had this happen to me very often. I kept trying to save up for some of the more expensive ones, and kept finding I had 0, even after just having a few thousand, go to new level, and back to 0 again. I would sometimes run around and collect some off of 3 or 4 enemies, and check Immediately after, and it would still say 0. This was a very annoying bug that prevented me from getting any of the more expensive unlocks.

This was only 1 of quite a few bugs I have found through the single player game. I haven't yet gone to multiplayer yet, so nothing to comment about that side of the game.

Unfortunately, I didn't notice this problem until it was too late. I had 5000 nanocatalysts and exited a reopened a few times. Now I have 700. I lose catalysts every time I restart now. I didn't notice this issue before though.

I'm playing on Windows 7 64bit, home edition. I am currently on the "Assist Delta Company" section.

It sort of annoys me since I was saving up to buy the better upgrades.

Yea, not only does the counter reset to zero everytime I resume my campaign, but I can't collect any points either! It'll say "You've collected 100 nano catalyst points" but when I open the menu to purchase an upgrade it says I have zero.

Yeah ,this is a pretty big bug and irritating as hell. Although I'm not surprised it slipped through QC.

Happen to me too, so I just keep the game running and do Alt-Tab when I want to stop playing.

Happens to me too. Now Crytek owes me 800 NC.
Is there any way to get it back? I dont want to cheat, just to get my 800 back...

I lost 11900 nanocatalyst, I was saving for the 12000 Shield Deflection upgrade, got a checkpoint and stopped for the night to play some multiplayer. Got on the next day, all gone -_-.

Not only that, but the next ~2000 nanocatalyst I received did not register. After killing a pinger and getting his 2k bonus, I finally bumped up to 900 nanocatalyst. It's almost like the nanocatalyst number gets corrupted and becomes negative, but the display isn't capable of displaying negative numbers :/

I hope this gets patched soon. I'm still waiting to play single player or multiplayer, as neither of them work properly as of now.

This also seriously makes me wonder - did they not test this game before release? According to people it was in the leaked beta too! What has Crytek been doing all this time??

That happens to me also! Let's not forgot the melee bug in single player also!

Let's not forget, they are probably working hard right now since it's a big patch. Give them time. I have a feeling we'll get a patch SOON. Dunno when.

Yeah, that's a nasty bug too. A patch within the next few days would be great.

Hello, just wanted to say that I too am having this problem, and it is pretty much game breaking.
When you are first able to collect nanocatalyst in the game, I was able to and purchased 1 upgrade, then I started saving. Next time I checked (beginning of the mission 'Gate Keepers') I have zero, and the total does not accumulate, despite the game telling me I just gathered some. Here is some info on my system, if it helps at all:

AMD 955 Black Edition x4 @3.4GHz
4G Ram
Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 w/1GB Ram, stock settings. Cat 11.2
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
iZ3D Monitor

I really hope Crytek is able to fix this issue soon, so I can continue playing this behemoth of a game
