Why? None of the other games had disenchantable armor. Hell, NO game that I can think of has disenchantable armor or weapons (aside from Dragon Age, which is basically slotted items.)

the only reason i can see for this is if you don't invest into smithing and you reeeaaally like your random daedric loot.

So you want an NPC who destroys weapons and armor for you? Silly.

1. don't say it is a must then. it's a thing that, admittadly, would be extremely nice yes, but it isn't necessary. i for one am for it. but just ignore the negative responses.
2. numbered but only 1.?

real #2. this sooo soo badly. i hate that thalmor robes only have 12% reduced Dest. cost. svcks soo sooooo badly.

probably, but for those of us ON consoles? BTW why on earth call it a console command(I'm sure there's a good, logical reason behind it) but then it's only for pc. not for consoles.... non-intended gripe.

Lore wise you can't 'unenchant' any thing without it being destroyed.

So really there is nothing that can be done about it.

Rather than having what the OP suggested, I'd rather have the following:

At least one of every item of the game being available completely void of enchantments, and, if armor, improvable via smithing.

I'd like the same for weapons, or at the very least let the weapons have the unique abilities, but lack the glowing runes of the basic enchanted weapons. Really, I'd like a way to get rid of the hideous runes altogether, but that's just me. I'm fine with them showing up on the regular gear, but it bothers me that they show up on things like Dawnbreaker or the Nightingale Blade. Completely ruins the aesthetics.

Um, you do realize that RARE armor is RARE for a reason. Without enchants, hey, it's just mundane material that pleases you in form and function. Besides being lore-breaking, it's kind of like saying you want to put a VW engine into a Lamborghini because it svcks gas.

This I hate rare items that already have enchants on them. Why can't I get generic Thieves Guild armor of all types, or Mythic Dawn robes, or Thalmor Robes, or just most robes and hoods in general?

A master enchanter should have a perk to unenchant without destroying armor.

I agree it's really annoying especially when your a Mage that needs enchanting for spells but all the robes and hoods are only enchanted

I can see adding new unenchanted robes but adding an NPC that can mystically unenchant items...
I can see the lore complaint threads now.

well. from what i've heard the lore complaints are based on every single guild quest in skyrim. heck. what's one more thing. bethesda could say he/she(the NPC) learned it from a dragon?

What? There are robes, hoods, clothes, gloves, hats, shoes, and boots all over Skyrim.

Possibly, bit of a stretch but it could work. I mean that is how dual enchanting came to be, I guess it could work but that's be really hard to do since most of the dragons are getting re-killed and usually are immediately hostile.

Probably wanting different kinds other than the blue robes and such. Not many robes are 'unique' and unenchanted.

from what i hear, there is a dragon in daggerfall? well before the return of the dragons, and also the leader of the greybeards.... his statement about other dragons may follow his path, or something to that effect.

yep this also the robes that are unique are already enchanted like mystic dawn robes, thalmor robes, DB robes, archmages robes (although the enchantment is nice) also there are no unenchanted hooded blue or black robes I want to wear these but I really need the enchantments for my mage.
