Never satisfied with your character?

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 10:53 pm

No matter what I'm always trying to due a perfect run. I have restarted a good 5-6 times when I first started playing and got about an hour in. It's because I can never seemed satisfied with my character. I either feel uncomfortable with the class I’ve chosen or with to hating the race I’ve chosen.

Is there anyone else you never seems satisfied with there character and always feel the urge to start over?
I totally understand and do the same thing. Today will be the third time I've started over, but mine wasn't really because of the character I created, I always pick either Nord or Imperial in TES games, it's because of the choices I made in-game or the order in which I made them. I want my character's story to be perfect, and doing things out of order kinda ruins that for me a little.

You guys do realize you can bring up the console with "~" and then type showracemenu at any time during the game to take you back to the character creation screen right? You can alter everything about your character right there, hit save and go back to your game with all the new changes applied. I did this once already to change the color of the war paint, and the color of the eyes on my orc.

I read somewhere that that messes up your stats and stuff, is that true?

I agree, I must have done the first 4 hours of New Vegas like 20 times which ruined the game for me because it felt like work not having fun. I have restarted 2 times. I am not restarting again because I will be playing this whole game several times through and I don't want to get sick of this game. That's why the ~ cheat thing will be great to change the look of my character, not her race. Such as hair color and stuff. Great game!

I don't have the game yet, but I'm fearing that when I get it this will happen to me to. When I played oblivion I ALWAYS had to restart because I didn't like My character. I still haven't a clue what I want to be in Skyrim...

I have made like 3 or 4 characters so far, so yes I know what you mean... right now I pretty far along with a Nord Warrior and I still have the urge to start over with a mage or stealth character... :banghead:
