I wouldn't expect much from ATI. The game needs a serious patch by id. All ATI can do are some cosmetics.

idk i have no tryed this update seeing as 11.10v2 with configs work great with me beat the game 2 times not as big as id made it out too be,ran it on a labtop that meets none lol sad i know.

So the new driver fixes it up for many people, but ATI can't do much?
Did i miss something there?

To me it seems that ATI has once again messed up its OpenGL drivers, or how would you explain the fact that every major OpenGL release has problems on ATI cards?

er ATI has no problems if a dev would shell them a copy too test on too make sure the drivers are working right or would need a update.only two games so far that i know of that needed heavy openGL wich was Brink and rage quote me if im wrong.

... and Doom 3, all of them had major problems on ATI hardware, but little to no problems on Nvidia cards. ATI just doesn't care about OpenGL as there are only few games using it nowadays, so they fix their OpenGL driver for each game separately instead of improving it steadily.

No luck for me again, soon as i get to he spot after the intro movie that says project eden it freezes, then plays again for a brief moment, and the words will very slowly fill in on the screen. Same as before

Will check this out when I get home. For me the V2 Preview already fixed 99% of the problems on my 6870.

Didn't solved mine. Still no textures if I load / change zone.

it kind of works for me. the game looks lovely, no screen tearing, no pop ups, no crazy black checkered boxes dominating the landscape.

unfortunately, it freezes frequently, I can't even get Dan Hagger to drive me back to his place at the intro.

Some are far less smart, it's funny to watch them reporting it did nothing. I'd beg to differ lol

Nope, doesn't work for me...

1. When Catalyst AI is enabled in profiles.xml....i get 1FPS..
2. When Catalyst AI is disabled in profiles.xml...."Display drivers stopped rsponding..."

Back to 11.9 + Catalyst AI = disabled.

i installed the new driver and im getting the same performance as before.


im only using one tweak command that makes a HUGE difference for me in overall framerate.


i have a quad core i7 cpu

but i set my vt_maxPPF "8"

This latest driver fixed just about everything for me. I have dispensed with config files, launch options, and doctored short cuts. The game runs very well on an E8400 (stock speeds) and a 1GB HD4850. It looks very nice, there is no more 100% CPU usage, and no more hitching and stuttering. It does still crash when changing areas sometimes though

What are the best set up for both the game and catalyst , as this new ati update dont work for me , it keeps crashing in game

This is what i did.. now rage seems to run like a dream

before it didnt run like a dream.. and after previe driver 2 didnt either

if you do this .. after the game patch 1 dont use cfg...

also be sure you dont use strange settings in ati ccc

i URGE EVERYONE not to install this driver

instead install preview driver 2 or ati standard driver

because i had ot system restore to a point before i did use the preview driver 3

when i used pw d 3 everything ran very unevenly .. it did not lag or drop fps but animations and gameplay was too strict

brink also became slower..

if you experience this with the new driver .. if hte game seems boring and not exciting.. its probably because the game is not running as it should

systemrestore or format... the prob with the new driver is you wont notice that its not running like it should.. it experiences in gameplay under rage but in other game syou get slower performance

to all who have downloaded and installed this driver i have personally gone to the website several times and since i know one of the lead security designers working there i can surley tell u this driver is a fake meaning AMD have not made this driver if you or any1 have installed it i suggest u Diconect from the internett imediatly and delete all your credit card info bcause i have read trough the program code of this driver and it creates a back door to your computer alowing any1 to view and or abuse private content on your computer u wont get any virus alarm since this is a masked software program meaning it masks itself as a driver and activates when u are least expecting it too i honestly should rather have any1 who has installed this either revert back to a previous windos image or do a full format of your drives i hope ppl are reading this and to help us stop intrusions like this in the near future i have already reported the creator of this fake driver to officials withing AMD's sec personell i hope some and all are not negativley affected by this

How do you find this backdoor program? I scanned the program before and after install, the install came from an amd link, several people said it works ... though for me it didnt help. Just want to protect myself.
