Old time player... disappointed in a few things....

I love how simple the interface is and that during gameplay nothing but hte compass is on my screen. +1 for that

But to either bethesda or modders, I would like it be able to lock my left hand so i can't unequip my shield with out holding control or alt or shift while clicking. Also would like to have some preset options. So just press cntrl+1 or cntrl+2 and it auto equips what I have preset..

Other than that I am a fan but am on the PC where it is probably simpler.

pfff what? i buy my pc games from there all the time.

Then yours must be one of the only ones to still do it,

Ive been to the ones in most of the midlands, Birmingham, leamington spa, coventry, leicester, nottingham, loughborough, sheffield, nuneaton, northampton, all of them dont sell PC games anymore. Since they are owned by GAME, GAME gets the pc games and bounces its console game prices off of its sister gamestation stores. As such it doesnt sell PC games anymore.. because the market just simply isnt there. Even GAME's pc sections have decreased from a 3-4 panel wall display to a single panel display and smaller "discount" sections.

Yes this is a dumed down for consoles game. Us PC games will have to put up with that for the next year until these comnsoles with their really old hardware are replaced by the next generation of consoles. Then the game developers will have to start using up to date technology.

Things will still remain simplified. Even when the hardware is upgraded, the controls will remain similar.

bugs are a problem for everyone, we all hate the fact that they leave so many in the game without doing much about them

im a console player but i, sorta, understand the anger over steam, i would always like a hard copy i can play without the need of an outside party rather than beign forced to have someone/something else involved. we all hate that devs assume everyone has internet/xbox live/psn network or anything else other than what is needed (a console/computer) to play the game

and keyboard and mouse feel most like an arcade game because of the hand placement

I imagine he means you have very limited number of controls with a controller...while with a kb mouse combo you have infinitely more options available...not to mention a much much quicker/more precise movement with the mouse.

So...when we pc players have access to a screen thats much closer to us...tons and tons more possible keybinds not including possibly shift modifiers which could then double that number....much greater range of motion/speed/accuracy of the mouse......and we then have to settle for literally the simplest possible thing they can think of that doesnt take advantage of literally anything the pc has to offer....thats more than a slight annoyance...especially when its the entire interface which you have to use constantly throughout the game.
