I always finish my days adventuring sitting by my firer in a cool robe, I send Lydia upstairs for that very reason she sits around togged up to the hilt in my newly made Glass armour. as a 95 smithy I like the idea of enchanting forsaken gear, it means unloading all her gear, I wonder if it will work, Change subect slightly does anyone know if Lydia is LIGHT armour or heavey, igave her a daedric helmet to carry but she wore it insted even though it was less in armour than her glass helmet.??

Get the perfect touch perk for pickpocket, remove all her armor, then give her any clothes you like and she'll wear it, problem solved.

I got Aela to wear the tavern dress thingy-ma-bob,and Im on console. It suits her while she stays home and cooks for me,then I give her back her Ancient Nord armor when we go out to fight.

If you dont have time to train pickpocket to 100,do the oghma infinium glitch. Disclaimer: Your character will end up being a very high level, and you'll be cheating, but if you dont mind,go for it.

I console-equipped some better robes for my character's husband but when I re-started the game he was wearing his default things.
Wear it dammit, I want our outfits to match!

It will NEVER happen on consoles because public sensibilities would have Bethesda hiding behind their desks. They`d be accused of all kinds of things including `destroying young people`s minds with nudity` even though they`re fine with violence like gratuitous full frontal chopping off of heads. Bethesda want their money and taking npc clothes off is too much for them to handle.

If you looked at what was being discussed before jumping into a PC/console [censored], it's not about nudity - it's about changing clothes. Which is entirely possible. It's just an extension of trading equipment. If what was being asked for was really a problem, then we wouldn't be able to loot corpses of their clothes, would we?

I bought Mjoll's armor from her, intending to have her wear something else, and now she just struts around the house naked. Either that or she's cheating on me with Argis the Bulwark. :ermm:

Either way she has stuff in her inventory that she doesn't even wear.

I have the same "problem" with Jordis Sword-Maiden. After I married her, she set up shop in our home, so I bought her steel armor from her and gave her a Legendary Ebony set. Struts around the house in her undies all day. Not that I mind necessarily, but my real-life wife looked at me funny the first time she saw it.

If you ask her to follow you and go adventuring, she puts on her armor. She takes it of as soon as she's no longer following. Weird.

...*laziness*
I actually intend to do it. There are a lot of NPCs out there who need an outfit change.

I'm pretty sure Lydia's default armor is heavy. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Steel_Armor#Steel_Armor But she will wear light armor if it has better armor rating plus enchant than her default heavy.

Enchanted clothes work nice here, even Lydia might prefer them over armor.
Did not know that, so if I make some awesome clothing she might wear that?

I am going to try that asap.

Naeux,
Cool name, by the way.

I'm basically new to the Series. Where do I get this Creation Kit, is it a mod? This follower default outfit is annoying. How do I change my character's wife's (and other followers' outfits)? Mjoll's armor takes up space for looting, as did Lydia's when I took her around. Plus, it would be cool to see them in regular clothes from time to time. I'm a warmage and won't get my pickpocketing up high enough pretty much ever.

Thanks!
