One should be able to change a spouses clothing.

Before someone undoubtedly asks, no I don't want my wife naked. But when she marries me, I'd like to give her a little bit better clothing than the rags she has on :(

Yes. I don't want a wife to be wearing her dirty mining clothes around the house, or wearing huge steel armor.

I haven't tried this in Skyrim, but in Oblivion and Fallout 3, it was possible to change the clothes others wear. This was done by reverse pickpocketing the desired clothes into their inventory (or by trading, if they're a follower). Only condition was that whatever you give them has to have a better Armor rating than what the character is already wearing. They then automatically wear the new clothing.

I guess it's worth a shot.

doesn't work because they have a hidden inventory that you can only access through the console. If you give them something to wear that is better then what they carry they may equip it. So enchanted forsworn armor may work.

If you reverse pickpocket in this game somebody told me it only works with armor, and they wear the best armor over anything else.

I gave Aela ranked up foresworn armor, and she puts it on every time we go out. Looks like a bikini. So long as it ranks higher than what they have. But I agree. They should include that option.

Skyrim is showing you the "real" life. you can't force other to your preference, not even your real wife in real life.

get used to it.

I think you`re on console aren`t you? You need to learn that if you want to do anything like changing clothes or anything that is even slightly controversial you`ll need the PC version and mods.

This is the great secret of mods because they allow you to make the world the way you want it.

It will NEVER happen on consoles because public sensibilities would have Bethesda hiding behind their desks. They`d be accused of all kinds of things including `destroying young people`s minds with nudity` even though they`re fine with violence like gratuitous full frontal chopping off of heads. Bethesda want their money and taking npc clothes off is too much for them to handle.

It don`t matter that YOU wouldn`t do it, someone else might.

You should`ve seen what happened when someone figured out how to remove clothing in Oblivion and the people were actually naked.

And if someone finds a way to do it on consoles, Beth will release a patch to stop it.

So don`t even bother asking for it in consoles.

I agree 100%, but can we not rule out the nudity?.... LOL, jkjk. I see what you mean, its like, you marry her, and you got BANK, but your wife wears ragged mine clothes. Nice idea.

Wow, really? Maybe they didn't have money for finer things, but you would like to share your wealth... Its "marriage" after all right?

Exactly. I bought a house for us. Decorated it all nice. Have plenty of money... Yet she still looks like she lives somewhere like the Warrens or something.

I can see your point, but I think I would get punched in the mouth if I walked up to my girlfriend and changed her clothes for her.

Why change them for her? I would get ALL the loving if I got my girlfriend a new wardrobe of fancy ass clothes for her to wear.

My girlfriend would be happy about that too, as long as I didn't dictate what she wore and when she wore it. :P

Enchanted clothes work nice here, even Lydia might prefer them over armor.

I bought Mjoll's armor from her, intending to have her wear something else, and now she just struts around the house naked. Either that or she's cheating on me with Argis the Bulwark. :ermm:

Either way she has stuff in her inventory that she doesn't even wear.
