Online Dating

We really need a Community Discussion dating site, a place where cynical singles can meet other cynical singles so they can argue about how long they're going to last and be a bitter unhappy couple, but here's the hook, they would stay together out of spite. Now how can I capitalize on this?

jaho.com?

Edit: Crap, it's taken.

On The Misc I read a lot of threads about success stories on plentyoffish.com. Well, by success stories I mean meeting up and having six. Keep in mind that The Misc is part of a bodybuilding forum and so a lot of regulars are well built i.e. they can attract woman with minimal effort.

Met my fiance on OKC. I can't say you'll have as much luck. I was on there for well over a year and didn't come across anyone all that interesting until... well until now. I'd say you would have about as much luck finding someone on an online dating site as you would using traditional means. However if one is not working you might as well try the other.

Everyone's dating experiences are different, but you're only 18. That's not a lot of time to have practiced dating and dating is something that does take practice. It's like a math assignment, only harder because you can use the same pick-up line with different results. The best type of connection to make is one that comes naturally. I didn't find that until I was 28. Someone else I know didn't find it until they were 40-something. It's just different for everyone because of how big the world is and the variety of encounters that are possible. Online dating doesn't allow for natural connections and I certainly wouldn't encourage it under the best or worst of circumstances. And EVERYONE who has a satisfying relationship that I've talked to has always said they really got it when they weren't looking for it and were done with dating. So, don't worry about trying too hard to find someone. It'll happen when it happens. It's really just a matter of learning the balance between honesty and social tact. Time and patience are your best allies. :)
