That's cool it's happening for you, but whatever happened to 11/11/11...?

Lucky you. :)

Personally I don't mind the two day wait, I just know it's going to be awesome.

I'm in NZ. We're furthest east on the globe, essentially.

And its 10:20 pm on the ninth.

Nothing to do with timezones :)

My shipment status is now 'package left the building'. Their motto in holland is when it changes to that you should receive it the next day, which is today, between 12:00 and 18:00... I CAN'T WAIT ANYMOAAAR

Over here in the Netherlands the game is sold in stores almost everywhere. Mine was shipped yesterday and should be arriving today or tomorrow.
Can't say I really mind personally (who would?) but I can understand how annoying it must be for others plus it's also not really cool most retailers don't seem to care about release dates at all for any game. I've heard people saying that the confusion is because of all the other releases Tuesday but I don't think that's an excuse; trailers and such have been showing 11-11-11 for ages!

Haha, this reminds me why I'm not going to try and get the console version early from one of the local retailers. I'd have to play in German... ;-)

That's german, not DUTCH (in contrast to DEUTCH).

People lack general knowledge these days.

I know the difference between Dutch and Deutsch. OP said he has a German copy. Though I'm not sure if he bought it from Germany or it is IN German (which Austrians generally speak).

Oh you′re right, well we are in the same time zone as Austria, and I see no reason for there being another release date than the world-wide 11/11/11.

The official release date is the same everywhere, but there are companies getting it early and also selling it early. Also, pre-orders are known to ship the product several days ahead to make sure it arrives at least earlier than later (which causes A LOT more frustration)

HOW? Do all stores in Austria sell it already? Why don′t they stick to the release date?

You confuse me? He's from Austria where they speak German. Some guy said Deutsch which is the correct way of saying German in the German language?

Coming from Austria doesn't make you German, as far as I know. They speak Dutch in parts of Belgium, but they aren't Dutch. Same for british not being american just for speaking english.

I got the PC version already, from a Dutch store. Naturally it's completely encrypted, so I can't even look in the ini files or open BSA archives, let alone play it. Getting it early on the PC doesn't get you anything, only more impatience.

No, only this local retailer nearby me (he sells almost every game 3-4 days before the release) he is called "playtime". They have only 2 stores in austria.

Btw. From there i got BF3 four days before the release^^

edit: the cool thing is that i had to wait for the english version of mw3 and i get it also today and so mw3 has to wait in my shelf (hohhohohohho) no sleeping for the next 2 days
