heh sometimes, it seems that way. I've seen a lot of dragons around so far, even at lower levels and earlier points in the MQ. Basically, after the Whiterun storyline dragon, there's lots about. Most don't attack me - in fact, I don't think any of them have directly attacked me without my getting involved in their business. I've found them attacking towns, random wildlife (the last one I killed had landed to attack (and presumably nom) a goat. Killed the goat, then I killed it. Lots of them, though, I just watch flying by, or doing their thing in the distance. If you have sound turned down, though, you'd easily miss them.

They're completely random it's just your luck, I have two characters ones level 38 and I've killed only a couple and I'm pretty far into the main quest, my other is 11 and I have over 15 kills, his last main quest was to kill the one outside whiterun... So it's all up to luck

(SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER)I'm level 27 and have killed well over 30 or so Dragons this is before, during and after the main quest every time I go out of a stronghold "ROOOOOAAAR" I'v had a situation to where 2 dragons have attacked me simultaneously near Dawn Star Sanctuary. I guess its based on random spawns and I seem to have a very high spawn rate ._.

I'm not too far into the main quest, but if Obliviion is any indication, the spawn rate probably increases the farther along in the mq you are.

I'm at the exact same place in the Main Quest as you and have killed about 8 or so. I'm lvl 27ish. So that's not it. How many shout-words have you learned? Maybe that has something to do with it 'cause I've found maybe 6 or so extra words beyond what the MQ has given me thus far.
