Do other games have this many utterly game destroying bugs?

I've got about 110 hours of game play in, and I've only experienced a small handful of minor bugs. Nothing even close to 'game breaking.'

I've had two crashes to the desktop and one minor glitch getting out of my house at the beginning. Other than that, I've been OK on the PS4. I thought dogmeat disappeared but it turned out he was in one of the doghouses in Sanctuary Woods. I used to get crashes pretty regularly on the PS3 FO3 and FONV. I'm pretty happy so far.

The Companion thing is a weird one. I can say that I did have an odd bug not too long ago where all my stations kept glowing bright green for no apparent reason and all my settlers were gathering facing walls and holding guns against them and simply wouldn't move at 1/2 a dozen of my settlements.

My solution was to save my current save out to my PSN account, uninstall the game, reinstall and then bring the save back. It seemed to fix my bug.

My current bug (which I'm not even sure if I want to fix) is that I now have a floating home, far over the Red Rocket. It's easily 50 to 100 feet up in the air. When I first encountered it, I had to build a massive staircase going up to it, which remains to this day (it's 12 of the snap together staircase sections and floors), although I have a fast travel mat up there.

The view is pretty awesome though and it's terribly relaxing with all my settlers down at the station. My fear is that one day it will fall back down again and kill everybody!

The bug about companions is weird though. I haven't experienced it, although I only have Nick and Dogmeat (along with Codsworth)at Sanctuary. McReady is out at the small train stop (I forget it's name) and Piper is in the Alley. Strong, I think is at Tenpines, since they're constantly being attacked by Supermutants (he hangs out at the 2nd floor bar most of the time since I haven't assigned him anything but a bed) and all the other settlers don't seem to have a problem with him.

I've

All games will have bugs and glitches. The thing is that most people will not have the same bugs or glitches and those can be the tough ones to fix. For me this game has been the most stable and so far only a few minor bugs and glitches encountered.

I believe Batman on the PC is the buggiest game on the PC this year and likely for the past decade or two, maybe even of all time. I believe the console versions of that game ran fine. I have not played the game and not interested in it.

I can no longer get anything done with the minutemen quests because of a bug in the game. That is game breaking. Yes there are other way to complete the game but I was wanting to do the minutemen this time.

Old game engine with strange quarks and not enough time spent fleshing out settlement building among other things but no game breaking bugs and not a single crash so far in a lot of hours of playing.... 2600K @ 4.5 GHZ with 16GB RAM and GTX 970

Had one CTD, the general urban-area performance issues, and the "guns being slow to switch" bug. That's it. So far, this is by far the least buggy Beth game I've played.

For the most part my game hasn't been a very buggy experience for me either besides some minor ones.

Although my game kept crashing constantly at the Fallen Skybridge location. Quite odd, because it was fine before but when I loaded a previous save back to that area that's when it started.

Haven't gone back to it to see if it still crashes my game.

I've had one major bug in over 200 hours of playing, unlike for instance Dragon Age; Inquisition which was laden with bugs and glitches at launch such as this gem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPcAuJVnGxE

Gotta say never thought I'd be on this side of the fence but I have to say in my experience this is the single most stable Bethesda game I have ever played at launch.

If I'd played more Bethesda games over the past 10 years looks like I'd have better perspective and know this was way less buggy and appreciate it more. I got spoiled by Witcher 3, GTA V, and Last of Us Remastered, so when some of the major issues I hit came up (and I'm enjoying the game immensely!) it ironically makes it that much more frustrating.

Thanks for the responses all. Love this game.

Only annoying bug I found was being unable to complete a side-mission because the NPC I had to talk to would only say the same phrase over and over again, never triggering the quest dialogue.

A bit disappointing, but game breaking? Nope.

This.

I've put about 100 + hours into the games and I have only come across ONE bug. The Bug occurred when I was on a Railroad mission and Deacon became completely unresponsive (I couldn't get him to do anything). That's the only bug i have come across and I can't say I've explored everything BUT, I CAN SAY I'VE EXPLORED A LOT INCLUDING MONSIGNOR and this is easily a more bug free game then FO 3 or FO NV ever was PERIOD!!!

OP IS TROLL PLEASE STOP FEEDING HIM, THANK YOU.

Every game has bugs, but for my part this has been the least buggy Beth game I've ever played (PC).

Most stable release in Bethesda history. From and including Dagerfall. Kudos to developers!

As far as the Monsignor Plaza bug, that was fixed by the beta patch, for me and many others anyway. What other game breaking bugs are there?

Didn't play Witcher at release but heard lots of bad things about its release and for me GTA was a broken piece of [censored] on release :D seems like a lot of plain old luck is involved in each experience.

This.

The only glitches I've came across are just ragdoll glitches that don't do much except make me laugh. (That and the glitch with the 5th melee perk).

on xbox one an i have

food and water disappears out of my sanctuary workshop i have to keep all food/water in separate container. this only happens in sanctuary doesnt happen in any other settlement

all my settlements mostly have wrong info on pip boy

at least 50% of my crops are unselectable in edit mode but is always fixed by fast traveling away then back

my abernathy farm has 15 beds and 10 settlers yet on the workshop tab theres always an exclamation point next to it and the list says "0 beds" so happiness plummets fast when im not there (ill try that tv thing you mentioned hopefully that will work and might make all the settlements display correctly on map then? fingers crossed)

none of my shop keepers have been stuck on roofs in sanctuary but the provisioner is always on the roof of the first intact house south, and his brahmin is always inside said house

i havnt go nick yet and i havnt used strong so cant comment on that, the only companions ive used are dogmeat and piper and in elevators what ever weapon piper has equipped will all of a sudden appear and be attached sideways to her arm, to fix all i need to do is go into trade and unequip/re-equip dont know if this is for all companions as dogmeat doesnt have a weapon ofcourse and pipers the only other companion i travel with.

i have run across a myriad of other bugs too but none of those or the above have been game breaking, annoying but not gamebreaking

the most annoying one for me is i cannot place any items that arent built in workshop in sanctuary as because no matter what when i leave and come back they have all been literally picked up and scattered all across sanctuary. i once came back to see a handful of lamps/fans/kitchen stuff/cigs etc that id place spawn in mid air outside your old pre war house about roof high then scatter in all directions

i hate that one.

Welcome to Bethesda's games :goodjob:

In my own subjective experiences, I have not had any game breaking bugs in any Bethesda games though plenty of stuff such as crashing, AI being frozen or graphic glitches have occured.

What are you even talking about? I have come across 1 bug and that was just bodies falling through the ground occasionally but that usually NEVER happens.

Quite frankly, the buggiest game I ever played on console from Bethesda was Morrowind on the original Xbox. That thing crashed on me all the time. Oblivion not really. Skyrim maybe once a play season.

Fallout 4 twice in the last 60 hours of gameplay.
