bethesda really need to do something about making the patch work with exisiting game saves i understand the difficulty with this problem but i have amassed an amazing amount of hours that i am unwilling to just throw away. tbf we should have been informed of the problems with this game from the begining so i didnt waste 429 hours of my life playing it to have to start again

The only advice I can give you is to go somewhere with little or no NPCs (your character's house would work) and wait 72 hours. That resets cells/scripts and may fix your problem.

Other than that, what do you mean informed of the problems from the beginning? Bethesda isn't going to announce how buggy their game is to everyone, that's just plain bad for business. The fact that they're fixing it with patches afterwards still helps us and makes them look good in the process. Besides, you can't really expect to play a game as big as Skyrim and not find any bugs. There's just no way playtesting by Bethesda can catch them all.

Specifically, what problem are you having? The 1.4 patch seemed to fix game breaking crashes for most players. How big is your save game file?

Wasted...14 cents per hour for entertainment is hardly a waste. Going to the movies for 7$ per hr is a waste.

What I mean is, these games have replay ability. I don't try to do everything with one character. However some do. I did that with Oblivion and later felt like that was a mistake.

did it with skyrim and now feel as if i should have just left the game for a year before playing if they took more time developing the patches then we would be able to intergrate them into previously saved games at the end of the day they should have employed decent beta testers its a brilliant game and yes has replay value but i dnt wish to revisit the begining before reaching the end

Wasted 429 Hours.

Ok it could be called wasted time if you played Skyrim when you were suposed to be working on finding a cure for Cancer. But some how (call it intuition) I doubt that very much.

(Off-topic) Why waste time finding a cure that is already there?

You would have to be living in a cave not to have known there were issues with Skyrim pretty much soon after release.
You have interweb access, Its near impossible to find a refference on the web to Skyrtim that dosent mention problems/bugs/issues so why did you continue playing if you knew you were painting yourself into a corner?

So you feel you wasted all that time AND you are ready to say that you did not have fun because of these small remaining issues? Are you kidding?

How do you get through life, my friend?

I often think that about the majority of the OP's of the 'Rattle Throwing' Threads in these forums.
If they are a reflection on our society we are surely doomed.
