I heard that the draw distance is actually really good in the game. This true?

Can you get sneak attack damage with magic?

Quiet Casting:

All spells you cast from any school of magic are silent to others.

So yes, probably.

When you install the game on PC, I read there's something about Steam and an 8 gigabyte download! Is that true?

Are we going to have to sit for days waiting for some "Steam"?

How long did it take to get the Steam junk done and back off the net and playing the game?

If so, they should switch from coal and steam to all electric trains for delivery. (this line was a joke.)

Nevermind. I see you have the non-PC type.

Does anybody know how long it will take?

I can't see if you answered my question from the previous topic:

Is radiant AI actually in the game? Try dropping and item to see if someone will pick it up.

Not tested this, will try this later on..

I heard that the draw distance is actually really good in the game. This true?

Yes, even on the xbox 360 , i am REALLY happy with the distance here..

How is brawling in the bar? Fun or lame.

Not tried yet.. sorry.

The PC had an option to toggle between the two.

...didn't know the consoles didn't have it.

To my knowledge there was no toggle. Movement speed was dependent on how much pressure you applied to the left direction stick/pad. When you hardly pushed it (in Fallout) the PC would walk awkwardly fast or slow. I am hoping in Skyrim you can just walk when fully pushing the directional stick/pad. In Todd's demo, you can see the character walking normal, but obviously I have no idea how that was achieved on the controller exactly.

OP?

I know casting fire spells on the environment can catch grass/trees on fire, but what happens to the environment with ice spells? If you cast an ice spell on water does it freeze?

Okay a few questions that have been bothering me....for years lol

Is archery more effective than in Oblivion? It bothered me quite a bit when I could shoot a bandit in the head 3 times and he still taunts me....

Is a pure mage capable of taking on multiple opponents? In Oblivion I quit on my mage character since I was always stick running backwards casting spells (much like archery)

Is Alchemy as profitable as it was in Oblivion? Could you potentially make a lot of gold just gathering ingredients and selling the potions?

Is a stealth character capable of surviving if forced to clash head on with a few opponents?

Do the towns and cities feel more alive than in Oblivion/Fallout 3/New Vegas? I hate the empty lonely feel lol

Il check arrows when i find a crating table.
I thought you'd already found a crafting table...hence the crafting of staves confirmation. Or do you just not remember and need to find another one?

I asked this in another thread, but it got locked pretty quick with the influx of posts. So I'll ask it here: Are the guards annoying psychic monstrosities that always catch you red-handed stealing/killing even though you're the only person in the area? Or can you actually you know, be a thief this time around?

There are a few questions that are on the edge of being spoilers in this thread already.

Just remember, don't ask for or give spoilers in this forum. We have a Spoilers section for that. That is where spoilers belong. I don't think anyone wants a week off of the boards for posting spoilers in the General Section.

Carry on discussing the general impressions of the game.
