Requirements vary from game to game as we all know. This should be a hint that we are at the end of an era. Don't worry, I too have held on to technology of the past. I bought an LCD HDTV 2 years ago, but before that my TV was 24 years old. You know, one of those old ones meant to look like a wooden cabinet from the 80's, my new one sits on top of my old one now. lol

yeah, i've been looking into it....i just don't have the salary for it right now. I'm working and going to school and i'm the one paying for the schooling...money's kinda tight

Not much experience with the patch, but I'll tell you what I'm seeing so far. Went from a 15mb savefile to a 14mb savefile. Not encouraging. However, the game loaded MUCH quicker with no noticeable lag while standing in the middle of Riften. As for graphics, if there's a difference, I haven't seen it yet.

Take that for what it's worth. I'm gonna play on it and report back when I have more concrete results. But so far, there's much less lag, so I'm happy. But I've only been playing for five minutes...

I downloaded the patch and played for a bit. I went into Whiterun and it ran smoothly. My file size went from 9.5MB to 8.5MB after saving for the 1st time. I've logged roughly 27 hours. The graphics seemed the same to me, however, I wasn't able to get to much involved as I was on my lunch break, lol.

DISCLAIMER:
I am in no way saying this patch has fixed any issues. However, with what I saw, things seemed to be running normally. I didn't have time to go to a merchant to verify that issue is there or not. I will reserve my judgement until I can get at least an hour into the new patch. There was however minor lag still present, but not enough to make me go nuts has it did just before the patch. I could except a little lag, but not what was currently present pre-patch

How do you download the patch? I don't know if my file has it.

Vizio's are great TV's. If I didn't get a Samsung (Which is the only type of TV I would own, they're amazing) I would get a Vizio. A fairly new up-and-coming company that makes pretty damn good TV's with nice vibrant colors. They don't waste time by putting a bunch of features in their TV's that you may or may not use, instead they give you an excellent picture minus the "Bloat-ware"

My parents don't do much....my mother is usually unemployed and my dad's salary varies weekly. I'm just happy to have a job, wonderful fiance and my own place. I'm happy. lol

Oh, and i've been playing the game for a while now with the patch, I haven't noticed any texture changes. Game still looks fantastic. The lag is not nearly as bad as it was. I had a 14 mb save file and it runs very smooth. The occasional hiccup but nothing more. major improvement Bethesda......let's keep it that way shall we?

PSOne/SNES/PS2 all look wonderful on SDTVs. Its worth having one around. But the newer systems look like trash on them.

I used to be a tester, on every title I would bug that words and Icons were harder to read on SDTV. On every bug the reply was very similar "Then buy an HDTV". So good luck getting a dev team to care about this, I feel your pain though.

This patch did not fix my framerate issues, it actually made it worse. Dragons I kill no longer get absorbed, Every time i move to a new area (loading screen) my damage is not displayed properly until i remove my weapon and re equip it. The textures look worse. I'm quite pissed off. If Bungie released a game in this bad of shape the fans would riot. This game is now in worse shape than before they "fixed" it. I wish I could get my money back or at least exchange it for a free 360 copy.

You also realize that not everyone in the US works 9-5 Monday through Friday?

Anyway, just got home from work. Fired up console right away, patch is installed. Going to eat some lunch before playing, I'll come back in a little bit and discuss what's changed, if anything. As of last night I had 75 hours played with a 12MB file, on a relatively new 320GB PS3 which was bundled with the Move. Prior to this patch I had few performance issues, and they would only appear after a few hours of play, and would go away after a reset.

I just saved, dropped from 12 MB to 11 MB. Then again it would normally fluctuate anyway, so I don't know if that's coincidence or a result of the patch. I have heard others say that the patch reduced their file sizes, as well.
