Patch Will Fix LAG And A Character Reset Will Not Be Needed!

Useless American Holiday? Wow. Bitter much? You're that butthurt over a game company you want to call out other countries' celebrations?

Laughable. America, nor Thanksgiving, has ANYTHING to do with this. Why the hell am I replying? I have a turkey I have to buy

He's bummed because he thinks if it weren't for the holiday we'd get the patch next week. Then he can say "told you so" a week sooner.

That svcks, but understandable.

Sorry King, but we have turkeys we need to kill. It goes back many years, you see.

Which actually, isn't exactly true in my house because we do ham.

Way off topic here

So if you don't personally experience it it doesn't exist? Glad to see your flawless logic at work, and do you SERIOUSLY think bethesda had absolutely nothing to do with New Vegas? How naive, seems to me you don't know how much influence a publisher has over a developer, go talk to bioware. Look at what they've been churning out ever since EA came along.

You sir have absolutely no reading skills. I NEVER said those games were perfect, nor did I say no one else had problems. I stated MY personal experiences and why I'm slightly confident Bethesda might fix these issues with a patch. I'm also well aware of Bethesda's role in FONV, not much. Bethesda did not make the patchs for that game and they did not design that game. They licensed the Fallout engine to Obsidian and were supposed to do the testing of the game (clearly they didn't to much).

Bethesda forums when issues started = "Figures, leave it to Bethesda. And seriously, can we get some form of acknowledgement on the issue?! Seriously!"

Bethesda forums when patches were announced = "He never said it would fix the lag issue. I'm certain it won't. Once again, we've all been had by Bethesda."

Bethesda forums when Peter Hines says patch will address frame rate issue = "Don't be gullible, he's lying. It's not going to be fixed."

Are you guys ever happy?

put away your tin foil hats people. this is happening.

its absolutely hilarious that you actually believe him. THE PATCH WON'T FIX ANYTHING. remember when they said that all the versions of the game are equal? lol look how that turned it. it wont work, all i'm saying. Come the week after thanks giving (useless american holiday) and the useless patch appears, i'll be here saying i told you so, while you'll be raging and crying because you actually believed a word bethesda said.

You have a horrible snarky attitude. It may fix it. It may not. Noone knows. You do not know. How about showing some maturity and dignity and not acting like a whiny twelve year old? Who cares if people think the patch will help? They would be perfectly justified to believe that- if the patch does not fix it, then Peter Hines was lying.

Either way, you should not be taking pleasure in other people being wrong where you are right. Grow the hell up.

Heres what you posted

"Oblivion runs great on my PS3 (although I realize I have the original one done by 3rd part) and Fallout 3 (with all DLC's and a 9 mb save) runs great on my PS3. FONV was constructed by Obsidian (<- not Bethesda), a team with little knowledge of Gamebryo, in one year. I still have very few problems with FONV, but those issues should not be placed on Bethesda."

So yeah shut up about reading skills. No where in hell did you clarify your position of just so I gave you the most likely one. I can get on more of that, but wow you really DON'T know how much influence a publisher has over a developer. Wow. Thats a very naive opinion. I can name so many companies who have dramatically 180'd the direction and releases of games that its not even funny. Its not a simple "Ok go out there, use our resources as publisher and make whatever game you want" The execs and business side need to make sure they're profiting. If they don't think they're gonna get much from it then it gets axed AKA Megaman Legends 3. What, or do you think games get canceled by the devs who wake up one morning after several years of work and just say "**** this we're done" and quit? I hope not, publishers have A LOT of clout when giving 'suggestions' cause if they're not liking what they're seeing they can decide to pull the plug on it. When Demon's Souls was looking for a publisher they went to Sony, but Sony flat out said "make the game easier then we'll talk" so they had to go to ATLUS to preserve their game style. If you think its just license and test then you need to talk to EA, Sony, Activision, Microsoft, Square Enix I can go on all day.

There is absolutely no sure proof that this patch will fix the problems we've all been experiencing.

If it did, he would have said that.

I hope it also fixes the chugging of the screen in forests when you move the camera slowly. That's my main gripe.
yea i agree on that and the low fps in Riften at the thieves guild gets really annoying. i never seen this kind of fps issue on oblivion.

What a great uncompromising question to give an answer too.

"Will the PS3 frame rate patch reset your character?"

"It will not reset your char or saved game"

Phrasing for crying out loud, learn to ask the proper questions people. So yeah, the patch will not reset your saves, where does that imply that you won't need to delete your saves yourself for the game to run properly?
