Paul Walker dead at 40.

Paul Walker apparently died on his way back from a charity car show in his Porsche GT. I'm still shocked. This guy along with Fast and Furious was a big part of childhood.

It's confirmed on his own twitter and facebook (most likely run by his reps) and by various other acquaintances.

If it was a hoax he or a representative would have disproved it by now.

It turns out there was a hoax about a hoax, and people were being misled about being misled...

I hate all kinds of social networks.

But when I was a little kid I used to watch Fast and Furious 1 over and over again.

I want to be skeptical about it as the Internet can manipulate the masses over a lie.

His verified Twitter account confirms his death but..you know..it could be hacked.

I should feel terrible for laughing at this.

@Thread- I've never heard of him until just now, so I can't say I'm stricken with loss but it's always a shame when the young die before their time.

This is a drag. Variety, which is possibly the only reliable media on entertainment, has reported it as double sourced so I'd say it is likely true.

The unfortunate thing here is that the accident site (in an industrial park that I know would be basically deserted on a Saturday afternoon) doesn't leave much doubt about what went wrong here. Out of the way place with lots of pavement, Porsche, guy known for driving skills...no matter how good you are it only takes one mistake.

Reportedly, Walker was actually the passenger.

Edit: Also confirmed by Vin Diesel and Ludacris on their Instagrams.

Also confirmed by universal according to ign an walkers official Facebook page also it seems he an his friend who was driving are dead.

I also know that universal will more then likely reshoot a few scenes from the latest fast film an when I heard where he died I thought he may of died on set while shooting for a film.

Perhaps for the "hip hop" community. I certainly didn't know who was this guy. Then again, I'm not a movie buff and certainly not into that Fast and Furious culture.

it's sad news and i'm going to assume that the eventual news media story will be a Paul Walker / James Dean biography comparison

1 2 and Tokyo Drift were good. After that it turned into action movies with cars.

Not really. James Dean died when he was 24 and this dude was 40 years old. Dean's death was more shocking because not only he died so young, but he was also better known in America when he died. He was already an icon when he was alive, and became almost like a god in pop culture America after his death.
