Well...PC elitist snobs are always rambling on about how they can reshape THE VERY FABRIC OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE AND PERHAPS BEYOND with mods.
I politely tap my fingers on those words and frown at you!
Hey, got any peanut butter?
After getting this 1.7 patch, I'm honestly thinking it will be this month. It looks like they are prepping the PS3 to get 1.6, 1.7, and Dawnguard at or around the same time. Apparently patch 1.6 was having problems when they tested it on the PS3 or I imagine they would have already released it. Now that we have 1.7, it seems like the perfect segway. I think it will be coming out for the PC on the day the exclusivity period is over. It's likely they've had Dawnguard ready for the PC since it was created for the 360. I think they port from PC to 360 then to PS3. The only thing I would imagine pushing the release back would be Steam because apparently the store only updates on Tuesdays. I don't buy what everyone is saying about it being months down the road. It wouldn't make any sense unless it's still in development. And I'm thinking it's finished on the PC. That's speculation of course, but I think it's probable.
EDIT: By "finished" I obviously mean Bethesda's version of the word. Meaning, it will be mostly playable, but will still contain plenty of bugs.
They showed PC Dawnguard at E3. If you watch the DG footage there you can see that it's far too smooth to be console gameplay. The textures and whatnot also looked better to me than actual Dawnguard gameplay on Youtube, so there's that too. Granted, they used controllers, but most major presentations are PC gameplay with controllers since it's hard to stand / present and use a M+KB.
Bethesda is going to lose money releasing it that late. I hope they know that.
They're already losing money releasing it late at all. I'm not buying this DLC or the next one until Skyrim GOTY is $20 or less in a sale, and I'd urge everyone on PC to do the same. Bethesda should be taught a lesson just like Bioware was with DA II and Crytek was with Crysis 2. Sure the CK is nice but being in bed with console companies in any meaningful way is a serious no no.
