NO pilotable vehicles in multiplayer!

Post » Sat Jun 26, 2010 5:52 am

No Helis, No VTOLS, No Alien-Gunships... nada, nish, as my dog would say... bollocks, talking dog, made me millions, right... well thats a turn up for the books, hopefully drivable vehicles, yes of course... shame about aircraft, oh well.

LOL, 7. Care to share a link where they state such a thing?

But then again they already **** multiplayer, wouldn't be a surprise if they'd take that out too.

Also a while ago Activison fired some of MW developers or they left the company, maybe the team that's developing Crysis 2 multiplayer hired them and now they are **** this game too.

Crysis 2 is infantry based, and that's just the way it is. You can still operate vehicles, just not flying vehicles, since it's not really meant for the urban setting. Imagine flying a chopper around in NY, trying to evade all the skyscraqers! As you see, this is certainly NOT how Crysis 2 should be interpreted. I'm sorry if you are saddened by this fact, but there a loads of other games out there for you to play, if Crysis 2 is not your thing!

Just because it's there it doesn't really mean they'll be playable. =/

Well that's lame, I wont be buying this then. It's a shame, I expected an improved upon Crysis Wars type multiplayer in Crysis 2. I guess I'll just be happy with Crysis Wars and forget about Crysis 2 alltogether. This is bunk.

Yea, I'll buy it for the story and nice graphics. But if MP is gonna be a disappointment I'd rather go back to C1/CW

I wonder if there will even be those Humvee's then :|

Hmm, well it's a shame. But this game was not really about it's vehicles, but lets hope I'm wrong. It's possibly for the small based modes only though.

Is there any reasons why they didn't include it? Any explanation?

Well who knows, there may be levels here and there where you get to ride...
The game is still many months from its release, so you never know

I think it was said in a podcast that vehicles detracted from nano suit gameplay because you didn't use the suit in them.

Crytek, you just shot yourself in the foot. Hopefully you will realize this when the first gameplay videos of Battlefield 3 start rolling out. People are getting sick of CoD, they want vehicles.

I would like to know why Crytek will not comment or respond to any of the comments made on there own forum about Crysis 2. I can say that from my Clans point of view Crytek have let down the hole of the Australian Crysis community with there total console only attitude to the way they have set up the game play. I have herd of people calling for a complete boycott of the game.

yeah, maybe they didn't put it in because the nanosuit was the main part of the game, and vehicles would be out of place in the maps (atleast the ones we've seen). But there should have been atleast a few big maps with something like tanks and stuff.
But seriously, vehicles just wouldn't fit into the play a lot of the time.
I guess you cant have everything. They have given us powers and customization that give us gameplay unlike any other game. If Vehicles were stuffed into the multiplayer, I'm sure it would spoil the action and intensity - it would be sort of shallow gameplay

Because this thread was created <24 hours ago and on a Sunday. Then consider timezone differences, it's only 8:30am in Germany atm. :)

On a personal note, i completely agree with the removal of vehicles in order to put emphasis on the power of the Nanosuit. I can't really say i have fond memories of vehicle abuse in Crysis/Wars so i'll be glad to see them gone.

If Crysis or Wars didn't have vehicles i doubt i would be playing to this day. they helped make the game.

Also it seem C2 wont have prone. Have they gone insane? or is all this in the name of balance? Deleting features like lean and prone in the name of balance. I want nothing of it.

But there is nothing i can do other than hope that they realize the errors of their ways.

Ps. Sorry Shinanigans for my other post it was out of line.

I am more concerned with the over all way in which they have changed the whole game to favor the use of consoles.
