I am just not going to go online for like, the entire week before the game releases, because, as always, some store in some backwoods part of some backwoods country is going to release the game early, and people are going to be putting up spoilers all over the place.

I'm also going to sleep my ass off before relase, that way I can stay up forever when it does release.

I have to wait until my order arrives on the 10th.

I have the Pipboy edition preordered on Amazon.

I have to work on the day of release but have the next day off so I plan to stay up late Tuesday night playing.

Gonna have all day on the 9th to prepare my game cave with many cushions & 130 cans of coke plus munchies. Then I'll appear for midnight release at my local store & do my very best not to act like an over excited 10 year old on Christmas day.

It is possible that Bethesda will email you a code so that you can download the game early and play the game at midnight.

Really?

Even if that did happen though I have to go to work at 5:30 in the morning so I wouldn't be able to play at midnight anyway.

Well, I have 2 Pip-Boy Editions coming - one for me, and one for a friend (sold to him at regular price - no profiteering). But, they won't get here until the 10th (unless they get delivered on the 9th, since my timezone means release is 10PM local time on the 9th). So, assuming they don't get here the 9th, I'll get my computer/ferret room all organized. Snacks easy to reach, drinks and microwave meals in the mini-fridge, etc. Then, hopefully at 10pm, my Prima Guide pdf will be released, if not - I'll wait until midnight for it, and I'll download it and lay in bed reading the parts on how to design the character and what Perks do what, so I know what kind of character I want. Then, I will go to sleep.

The next morning, I will wake up, check the Forums for comments/complaints/bug reports - see if there is anything I need to know. Do any last-minute Driver Updates (in case any have been released to fix FO4 bugs) and wait. The first delivery to arrive is MINE! (Assuming it is delivered in good shape). The 2nd to arrive will be my friend's. (Hey, I'm nice, but I'm not THAT nice).

My wife is a gamer, so she will not bug me, and may bring me things, or even come in and watch. The ferrets will keep me company, and I'll have my wife take the 2nd copy over to my friend, or he can come get it. Whichever. I don't have work, I may cancel my RPG games that week, and I may just spend a week glued to my computer (with occasional breaks as health demands).

Well, my plans are far from the usual for new (highly anticipated, on my part) games. I preordered the Pip-Boy Edition from a Best Buy in Florida. Pick-up only. I chose that method originally because I lived close by, and I had heard about Best Buy's tendency to cancel pre-orders if they didn't have enough. I actually moved back to my hometown in Alabama in September to live in a nice house (happy to leave apartment life behind in Florida). So, on November 8th my husband and I will be driving back down to Florida to stay with his mothers and brothers (his eldest twin brothers have birthdays on November 9th. Works out), and then we'll pick up my copy and play it over there. Next day, head back to Alabama.

Currently, setting up an awesome game room for the hubby and I. Got some theater chairs and a new entertainment center. Pretty stoked.

Unsuccessfully try to sleep all day to make time go faster, go to midnight release, come home, spend 12 hours in character creation, fall asleep again, wake up and play the game.

Will play non stop on two of my three days off, third Ispend with the wife. Have the first week of dDecember off, will probably spend the majority of that playing.

It actually depends, I'm undecided if I want to by physical or digital, digital comes with the advantage of Pre-Loading so I can play at midnight but I'm still not a huge fan of buying digital, I like to have the game case sitting in my humble but prized collection. I won't be queuing at any ungodly hour for a physical copy so if I do go physical I'll be having it delivered on release day probably between around 11am and 5pm. I can get a steel book case with Fallout 4 postcards from UK store GAME for £10 less than buying digital but at the same time I'm kinda aching to play at midnight. I don't want to wait for delivery only to have to wait for the install. Any reasonable estimates on how long I can expect the install to take and any advice of whether to go digital or physical.

Anyway I don't have work until the Friday after release so it will be a case of not speaking to anyone for a few days whilst I binge on Fallout, no doubt I'll spend over an hour in the character creator. If I do go digital I'll probably sleep the entire day on Monday so I have the energy to play all night from 12am release day.

I feel you, I went along with a digital copy just to ignore showing up in person att my local gameshop, gamezone, gamedealer looking like a crazy person, and having people in white medical coats taking me too the loony bin  just kidding, i will buy the hard copy when the goty/ultimate edition comes out, but for now the digital copy works fine for me

Wake up to my pre-loaded game on the morning of November 10th, and try oh so very hard to haul ass through the morning treadmill exercise routine.

The Fallout 4 E3 demo is almost a clean 30 minutes, ill probably be watching that while walking. There might even be the quakecon demo that might fit clean into the 30 minutes or more.

This is all assuming I dont break concentration and submit everything to The Godd Howard the second I wake up. Its going to be tough to actually fall asleep the night before aswell. The midnight launch would be a bit more than I can handle, I think.

I ordered the pip-boy edition so mine had to be a hard copy. I always order the special edition to a Fallout game, its a weakness of mine.

I can understand that. But again, I have over 900+ hours on Fallout 3 and easily over 1500 hours in new vegas. the thing for me though, I never need more than the game itself, hehe, that is all I care about really. The pip-boy edition looks cool and all, but the game is all that matters in my world. Besides living on a sailboat don't leave much extra room for items without value to the boat itself. Stilll im glad other can find joy in owning the pip-boy edition :) and it is a tribute to bethesda :) but then again I have bought every Bethesda game and dlc since Morrowind so I can justify my digital copy

Taking a week vacation starting on the 9th-15th, buying snacks either day before or I'll get them at the 24hr walmart by my house while game installs on launch night and then I'll start a marathon session day one.

I'll have all my grocery shopping, errands and laundry done. I'll also make sure to rearrange my weekly exercise schedule so that I have two days off in a row for playing! I'll make a huge crock pot meal that can be eaten for several days as well as bake some fresh bread and egg white quiche for breakfasts. I'll have plenty of fresh fruit and sparkling water on hand for nom noms. Dogs will have new toys to occupy them and my husband will be told that I'm on lock down until further notice, lol. He understands and we might even play together if the likes the game. Then, it's game time which will probably be sometime during the day where I'm at!

Work a normal day on Monday. Come home eat and force myself to sleep.

Convince the wife(home on maternity leave) to go to the store and pickup day one edition on ps4 as she has done for me for the past 7 years any time i am excited about a console game.

Wake up 1-2 am to a full pot of coffee and a fully charged ps 4 controller and headset.

Play fallout 4 till 7:30 then go to work dragging ass. And give her a turn.
