We have no news yet regarding a console map editor or the ability to import PC maps to them. This would require a completely separate Dev team working exclusively on such a program.

FarCry 2 had a console editor, but that was created by Ubisoft and not Crytek.

To develop on multiple platforms, the games industry uses Dev Kits which are modified versions of the consoles, these boxes are very different from the standard ones you can buy to play games with, in fact, you can't even use these machines to play normal copies of games!

I think Crytek should do like Valve with TF2, allow Custom Maps in Crysis 2 PC MP and after each couple of months, the most popular maps are chosen, they are examined, fixed and improved so they can be played on Consoles and then they are released as Free or Priced DLCs on consoles, This will keep MP on consoles active and Crytek could make money from the DLCs and give some to the original map makers and give them a Special MP Dogtag.

Microsoft and sony would charge for DLC no matter what and i highly doubt they will allow "Custom content"
