Please don't end up like SWTOR

there will be large open dungeons to explore, a massive sand box style world to explore, guilds to join and gain prestige in, public events to take part in, and many many other featuers we don't know about yet.

I really hope so because personally I'm not interested in PvP one bit. It mostly goes down to cheap tactics, and morons throwing insults when they loose and everybody calling everybody a noob.

Not much of a pvp fan also, but you have to admit the Imperial City Raid sounds sweet!

"A-ta-ta-ta let's not blow this out of proportion."--- Would you want to play an fps mmo? Just doesn't work well cause u can't really do real time fighting with an MMO... If they did you would be on here complaining about hitscan and lag.

Real time can be done, many games have it. The only reason TESO could not, is because of Hero Engine.

swtor did this well at start because they were making a game that's revolved in star wars which i think has the biggest sci-fi fanbase in the world and the game was being made by bioware, one of the top dogs in gaming industry. I should point this out very important: Game is very well executed feels like a polished but unfinished product but the game itself is a carbon copy of WoW, basically taking every mechanic it has even the restrictive supposedly make-your-own-choise skill tree. And it adds nothing on top of that. You have nothing to do in that game except do dungeons/raids or go pvp. Really unimaginative, and game gets boring after a while despite having so many class stories. I played pretty much every class to decent levels while SW to 50, gotta say for a MMO quests are really good but for a single player game(which many people bought it for, a kotor game) its very very average at best. Games that has nothing different to offer than its competition will always struggle to be successful, and i dont want an elder scrolls mmo that is exactly that.

honestly if I was making a starwars MMO I would make it a FPS with amazing combat, and then playing a jedi would be really hard and rewarding while playing a bounty hunter or smuggler would be easier but is weaker in general to a powerful jedi or sith for example

shooting would be just like BF3 and needs skill and good tactics while playing jedi/sith needs lightning fast reflexes and total comfort in using force powers wisely cause if you miss a block a blaster will ruin your day with 2-3 shots (one to the head)

I envisioned Fallout MMO to work better as MMOFPS as well.

Back in the day, I were all saying how good SWTOR was gonna be, how good the story is, LIGHTSABERS WOOO STAR WARS, how much its gonna KILL WOW and all that. Look how that game turned out...

I hear its using the same engine? I just hope that this game doesnt turn out like SWTOR. I just hope they finish the game before it actually releases. So if any developers are reading this, LEARN FROM SWTOR.

I couldnt wait to play that game, but I did and until now im just completely bored of it.

I hate it when someone claims to speak for everyone else with words like 'we' and 'all when what they really mean is 'i'.

Anyone with any MMO sense could see that BioWare were never going to make a great SW MMO,they make some of the most linear RPG for a start. Then on top of that, they refused to actually listen to the MMO community, thinking they are the same as the single RPG gaming community, they're attitude stinks.

Anyone who tested the game or played the open beta weekends and still bought it but is now complaining have no one but themselves to blame. The other thing is that, bad game or bad game it still has a lot of subs, you don't need WOW numbers to make a crap load of money out of an MMO,500k will keep the profits rolling in each month.

Their is nothing that Zenimax can learn off of BioWare.
